Can you use jpg and jpeg? If not that may be a problem. It upset mr when Apple fooled with that.

Apparently Freight sheds do not support jpeg.

Content wise, there is no difference between .JPG and .JPEG. I can rename them in my webspace and they will display properly with either extension because the BROWSER supports them. I haven’t re-read the entire thread so I am assuming the problem is not that you can’t upload a JPEG, but when you try and open it to get the link, LSC barfs. If this software wasn’t about ready for the old age home, it would probably be a matter of adding the extension to a table somewhere that lists the supported file types.

So if .PNG is easier for you, and it works I’d just stay with that for now. PNG is a different compression method and may not give you the detail that JP(E)G does, but the one you posted with the brine car looks fine.

John,

My Mac is 2015, so the age of your Mac isn’t the problem. Stick with Safari. Chrome in a Mac is a PITA  Just use jpg and you will be good to go. As far as the compression issue between the two extensions, you probably won’t notice the difference.

Well, after all kinds of testing and experimenting, I think I’ve solved the problem.

(For pics anyway: vids are another thing.)

All the pics stored on my Mac are .jpg. When I drag them to the desktop they turn into .jpeg all by themselves.

I rename them on the desktop and delete the “e”. and take out underlines and any other symbol.

Thanks for all the help.

And yes, I can now drag and drop to the Freightshed. from the desktop. No more selecting files.

I put a pic in my freight shed.

It shows it is imported successfully.

I try to open it to get the code and it says

THIS DOCUMENT IS NOT SUPPORTED.

John, the Freightsheds will let you upload any kind of file. I have put PDFs in their so they can be downloaded, but not displayed. A non-displayable file type will get you the NOT message.

I suspect your file extension is not .jpg or .jpeg. Sometimes just editing the file name before you upload (e.g. to “picture.jpg”) will cause it to work.

Amazing! I have been fighting this too, (Mac with Catalina and Safari). I had uploaded photos as name.jpeg and was getting the “document not supported” message. So I tried just changing the file name to name.jpg and re-uploaded them. Now they are viewable! On to the next step.

Dave

Dave,

Glad you found the fix. I wasn’t paying attention to the file extension until I noticed

the Mac changed them to .jepg when I drug them to the desktop for re-dragging them to freight shed.

Now video’s are another thing I can’t do.
