Nope not working on copy and past or drag and drop?
Not sure how this one worked??? Forgot how I did it after many times doing difference things. gesssssssssss.
When the name of the file is not “right” try using IMG tags…
A test by clicking in freight shed picture…looks good.
Now, with my freight shed in another tab, I right click on the picture and select “Copy Image”. I paste it below here:
And, it brings the image in, while I’m in edit mode.
Next, going back to the same tab, I click “Copy Image Location”.
Then paste it here:
I get a url…no picture. Exactly what I expect.
In “Preview” mode, I do NOT get to see the image I pasted in place, even though I see it in edit mode.
Interesting…the one where I selected “Copy Image” I now see it pasted in place with IMG tags…but it doesn’t work!
Dare I say bug?

That isn’t a proper IMG tag, it’s HTML code. Not valid in a post; but does work to display the image in the editor.

change file name to one long word. test.
http://freightsheds.largescalecentral.com/users/noelw/Bridge/WalkbridgeTug.
nope won’t work that way either. darn.
Noel, You are using special characters in the file name. In your freight shed, you are using an ampersand “&”. In your MLS space you are using the word “and” instead, so you are comparing two very different names.
You certainly can use freight shed here, as I often do. In fact, if you scroll up a few posts you will see two pictures from my freight shed.
Two things to keep in mind:
- Special characters can cause special problems.
- DO NOT use spaces in the file name. If you must separate the words, use the underline “_”

Hi Bruce… Not sure what is going on… All I do is copy and paste the link or drag and drop… Not sure how to see what the code looks like. Use to have on here BBC code change to see it.
So guess my computer is changing stuff. It Win 10 with ie-8 setting?
Noel,
It’s not the code - it’s the FILE NAME.
You have special characters in the FILE NAME.
It’s not your computer changing stuff - it’s the FILE NAME.
You can rename them in the freight shed by clicking on the “A” on the same line.
Remove the special characters.
Remove the spaces.
Then copy and paste of the link will work just fine.

nope not working…
try "img’
That not working either. done.
…
tks for trying Bruce… This is just to compacated to do any posting on here… Nothing is working … Everything work great until new program change on upgrade that Bob did. Only way to get anything to work is to pull photo from another site.
tk’s again for trying. I left Bob a few messages to get some help on the new program when he has some time.
It been take to long time just to get photo in the album… Very slow to server from here to there. Have to wait up to over two mins. or more sometimes.
Until then just ck in now and then… Not worth the hassle to post. Noel & Jane
Noel,
You have to leave the .jpg extension as part of the filename - otherwise the code doesn’t know what to do with it.
The .jpg extension tells the code that the link you are referencing is a picture and it should display it as such.
Without that extension, it doesn’t know what it is.
Your photo from the other site does NOT have the special character in the name, that’s why it works.
Noel, why not just use photobucket to host your pictures?
Or is there a reason why you need to use the Freight Shed (which I have no idea how to use).
But posting from photobucket is easy, that’s how I have done all of my pictures.
Noel,
I think you are befuddling yourself. I put your walkbridgeandtug in my freight shed with no spaces or special characters AND a jpg file format. And here it is…no problems…

Mainly was because I paid for the frt. shed to hold most of my stuff form other link and was going to drop that one. Don’t need two storages sites.
I wanted to keep my logos and a few photos here.
But it not working for us so guess will drop this one. This just to hard to work and frustrating after getting our age…laf.
It use to work fine here. Just upload a photo and could copy and past it in the post or if want to show a video, just use the brackets.
We see we can rename a file here in frt. shed, but guess that really changes stuff to.
Funny we can hit view the photo, but won’t up load it on post.
Got to be some setting we don’t have right on all three computers here and some friends have to.
Also odd that others can take our photos and show them with no changes to them that are same here filename as we have?
Anyway Vincent, We do put a lot of photo up on photobucket, but didn’t want the logos and hole bunch of similey and other animated stuff on there.
So for now back to the other site that works. Tk’s for the help Noel & Jane
Well, I give up.
Ok got my logo back in using other site storage…
Just don’t understand how my jpg get changed? Or how to change them back. I see what Bruce C. says but, not sure how to get it working with out deleting and start over from my hard dr. again that org. had jpg. Even my org. logo that is still there in Frt. shed is still there but won’t work?
Ok least got my Logo back and give up frt. shed stuff for now. Again Bruce C. tk’s for trying to help and just not getting it here I guess.
test with jpg as alone word.

ok that works. wow.
Videos must be an Emg with brackets?
Ok now I think I see what is wrong. Go back to frt. shed and get back in .jpg on all stuff.
Test a gif…(http://freightsheds.largescalecentral.com/users/noelw/Logo_stuff/Wig-Wag1.gif)
Ok that works…
Videos link should be this.

backspace idea as Ralph said.
[youtube]http://youtu.be/eos4VufcRQs[/youtube]
Darn it worked Ralph
Not sure what that dose, but it worked. tks .
“I know, You been saying that all alone…” lol…noel
Noel,
You Tube videos need the [youtube ][/youtube ] tags (with the spaces after youtube removed). You must also paste the youtube url in so it is NOT a hyper link. The easiest way I can tell you to do that is to go to your desktop and right click and create a new text document. Paste in the hyper link and then copy it from the text document. That will strip off the hyperlink.
[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eos4VufcRQs[/youtube]
The easiest way is to hit your backspace key after pasting in the URL.

Tk’s Ralph and Joe… I think I understand now and what Bruce C. was trying to say.
