OT Co-Host Switzerland knocked out of Euro 2008 by Turkey

Switzerland has unfortunately been knocked out of the matches.

…holy smokes…we need matches to light the bbq, in order to roast the turkey…

Other than that, who cares !!!

Padre,

Those who follow soccer just a little bit didn’t expect the Swiss to advance to the next round.

PS the “Original Ventilator” hasn’t noticed yet that there is an OT section on LSC, must be from looking at the YAHOO Group scheme for too long. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s very odd. Whenever I’m there all I see are rifle ranges…but then, that’s all I go there for anyway.

Jack,
maybe you and all your superhero buddies (or is that egos) could form a soccer team. With all the European LGB between you all then you must rate as at least honoury European citizens. If your soccer skills are as good as your spruiking skills then we have a winner. You must have some bull****ting skill otherwise why would David have employed you in the first instance to do the dirty work?

Tim,

That’s why I take so little stock in your musings about other topics related to Lehmann and LGB. I never was “hired” nor was I ever “employed” by David. I would love to cover the facts, but they would only serve to confuse you.

David and I remain good friends because of our common hobby interests outside of model trains.

Jack

Jack,
will await the World Cup in 2010 and then you can tell me how good the American and Australian teams are. Of course, America will not even qualify (even with David Beckham’s assistance) and I seriously doubt that Australia will go past the first round. The main thing is that teams qualify to go to a tournament. Whether they progress any further is icing on the cake to me.

In so far as bull****ting, well the last two years have shown me that there is a lot that I need to learn in that respect. But then, I have been hampered by living in the real world and not a fantasy realm, controlled by pupper masters.

Couldn’t give a rats hinny about the American team and I let you worry about the Aussies.

Jack,
keep smiling. If one is prepared to dish it out then one needs to be prepared to get some back. As always, an amusing response. Strange that you do not support your own ‘home’ team and yet you have such an intense interest in the success of the Swiss team. Do you have Swiss heritage in your genes, as that may explain your intense interest in European prototype trains?

Tim,

My family is mostly German. The only reason for mentioning the Swiss team is that they are the first one to be eliminated for sure. When the Americans learn the real name of the game, I might start supporting them.

Tim,
You might want to make sure your not acting the lapdog yourself. I’m starting to wonder if HJ needs to log off when you start posting

Marvin,

I realize that you’re somewhat handicapped and can’t distinguish between different writing styles and vocabularies; you are forgiven.

John (Jack?)
just to prolong the ruse, before posting, I will check if HJ is online. If so, then I will refrain from posting a response. I like your sense of humour. In so far as linking me with HJ, well, I certainly thankyou for elevating my character to one so worthy of admiration.

Much as I aspire to HJ's wit, I feel that considering the entire Pacific Ocean lay between us, that I really should deny any relationship with him. I thankyou for the complement though.

Who gives a fig about that soccer moms game ;)…Detroit won the Stanley Cup, I’m just now starting to end my celebration …

Yes,
Detroit won the Stanley Cup.
How long was the wake after the Pistons fell out?
Ralph

Dont really care too much about that game where they throw the little orange ball around ;).

In fact I nearly got tarred-n-feathered at work for saying early on that the LA Lakers were going to lose the championship…well guess who’s looking psychic now :open_mouth:

“LA Lakers were going to lose the championship”
I don’t think that qualifies as psychic. That was pretty common opinion around these parts.
I’m sure not a popular opinion in CA.
The problem is, now your coworkers will think you jinxed them and it is all your fault!
Ralph

Yeah I keepin my nose open for the smell of fresh Pitch, might have to take Monday off, if ya know what I mean

I t'ink once the pistons fall out, the boat not make much wake at all ... especially if said pistons fall though bottom of boat ... glug glug ...

Meanwhile Italy and Germany pull out wins to avoid embarrassing exits (no comment on France).

But how about those Celtics? They were so far ahead on the Lakers, I started working on some model building by the fourth quarter.
