I just this minute went and looked at my Bach K27.
I donned an optical visor and grabbed an Exacto razor knife.
You can slip the edge of the knife UNDER the base. I wiggled the stack and the base moved.
I ain’t about to break it off to see if it is part of the boiler.
From my sleuthing, I deduce the base IS NOT part of the boiler, but a separate part.
To clarify, I know the domes are part of the boiler. I was testing the smoke stack base.

OK…I don;t have a K…but our Leader Bob does…I asked him to knock the domes off his to find out, looks like the dome pieces are seperate castings from the boiler. Especially since he has a green boiler and the base of the domes are black.

OTOH if one orders parts one could always highlight the parts required and send the exploded view drawing with the order.

The dome bases are molded into the boiler casting. They are not separate pieces.
