Official VOTING for Mik's Build Challenge 2020

Well like everyone else has said, really hard to choose.

First I like one, then I look at the next and like it more, then a third one catches my eye, then the first one is my choice again. Been going around in circles like this for 3 days, but it’s time to pony up.

Going with what I like best funky old buildings.

1-- Dennis’s welding supply

2-- John’s Assay Office

3-- Devon’s ice house

Spirit award-- Bill’s shotgun shack

If it’s any help I made post-its with all the variations and basically eenie meenie 'd it!(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-surprised.gif), only took 16 tries before I could live with it, or … or … or …(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-frown.gif)

I have been quietly following along…too many other projects to join in the fun this year (again, dang it all)

I want to give my first place vote to Eric Mueller and family for Mama’s bakery, for the family fun!

Second, to Dennis Ryan’s very cool welding supply! So much nice detail

Third, to Neal S and the Peterson Post! nicely executed!

I have to say You guys all rocked this year. What little time I got to follow the builds I did pick up some ideas. Great job everyone!..

As others have said, this is getting harder to choose each year. From a simple incentive challenge to ‘build something’ during the time that was referred to as “Cabin Fever”, and an award of " Attaboy", we are now getting craftsman builds which constantly challenge the time constraints of that same thirty day period.

I am going with:

1st … The Muellar Clan and Mama’s Bakery No Ka Oi, for staying closest to what I believe was "MIK just MIK"s building premise. Using what ever is on hand and re-purposing same into something for the railroad. In the few years they have participated, they have certainly improved their skill set levels, and the material usage is great.

2nd … John Caughey and his Assay office. The cut down medicine vials were over the top for detail and re-purposing. (If you have a dozen or so to spare I may try my hand on them(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif))

3rd , Bill Barnwell and his Shotgun house (as I’ve heard them referred to) again re-purposing of what others would overlook.

I can’t leave this without saying that it is a pleasure seeing all of these come together and I for one would enjoy seeing the builds that aren’t finished, after they are done. And on going progress as they get worked on. Thank you all for a great contest. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Do we have anymore voters and does anyone else want to edit their vote other than Greg?

Is it too early for me to demand a recount

Most work involved Vic Smith

Group effort Clan Mueller

Use dead peoples fingers of course. Or maybe see if I can get Iowa to count them for me.
