As others have said, this is getting harder to choose each year. From a simple incentive challenge to ‘build something’ during the time that was referred to as “Cabin Fever”, and an award of " Attaboy", we are now getting craftsman builds which constantly challenge the time constraints of that same thirty day period.
I am going with:
1st … The Muellar Clan and Mama’s Bakery No Ka Oi, for staying closest to what I believe was "MIK just MIK"s building premise. Using what ever is on hand and re-purposing same into something for the railroad. In the few years they have participated, they have certainly improved their skill set levels, and the material usage is great.
2nd … John Caughey and his Assay office. The cut down medicine vials were over the top for detail and re-purposing. (If you have a dozen or so to spare I may try my hand on them(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif))
3rd , Bill Barnwell and his Shotgun house (as I’ve heard them referred to) again re-purposing of what others would overlook.
I can’t leave this without saying that it is a pleasure seeing all of these come together and I for one would enjoy seeing the builds that aren’t finished, after they are done. And on going progress as they get worked on. Thank you all for a great contest. (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
