The idea is that you need to keep Majesitc clear for mainline traffic.

As if THAT ever happens…

The picture illustrates the point that maybe a “Majestic Yardmaster” is needed to keep the traffic moving and then Oakhill Junction is worked by the yardmaster or by a local with help from the “Majestic Yardmaster”.

This weekend I finished up the benchwork for 28th Street section of Oakhill. Just need track bumpers and switch throws.

Should make things a bit more interesting, especially the route around the wye.

Dang, This is going to be like running on a new railroad… Purty… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Nice! And back to the switch list to see what this adds to the operation. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Yep, I need to get this into JMRI and see what happens

Bob,

does this update eliminate the tight radius /loco size limitation we had last year?

On another note you were looking to add some boxcars to your roster earlier this year. if this didn’t happen I can potentially bring some non D&RGW boxcars to fill out the roster for trainopps. let me know.

Al P.

Yes, it does eliminate that tight curve in the wye. I still need to run a couple different locomotives down there, but right now the whole area should have a min radius of about 90", since those are all #4 switches down there.

Looking good Bob. I like the design of the wye and the yard especially with the crossover. You have given me an idea for my new yard I want to build. Thanks.

Bruce will appreciate this weekend’s work. A retaining wall behind the path at Oakhill.

Almost done. Need to get 3 or 4 more landscape timbers and finish the stairs to the upper loop (far end picture #2)

A railing might help those old guys too…

What?! You didn’t save my footprint?

Looks great!

At least he has the snow fence to catch us before we roll off into the ravine (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Nice work, Bob… Looks good… Am wondering if you could raise the benchwork, so we wouldn’t have to bend over as far to un-couple cars…

hehehe… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)Sorry, I just had to… (shrug)…

Now that very interesting track work, Bob.

Bob You could just cut Andy’s legs @ the knees , like you were going to put him in an Bachmann engine! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Finished up the stairs and walkway behind/next to Oakhill. I’m about done with the giant pile of non-railroad related projects for the fall, so I took a couple hours to finish this up this weekend.

Looks wonderful… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)Man, are we getting fancy now…

Hope the steps are not too tall for us ““Old guys””… hehehe

Looks good. You guys keep giving suggestions and he’ll have it raised to tree top level (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
