This news was brought up at the monthly meeting of the Roanoke Chapter, NRHS last night. It was mentioned that EMD already had all the liveries on file, except for the Virginian. The folks at EMD were somewhat puzzled by that omission until someone from NS explained that prior to the merger with N&W, the Virginian only had units by FM and ALCO.

It will be great to see these various liveries as the locomotives travel throughout the system. I expect the Reading unit will have something like their old Bee Line livery.

Best,
David Meashey

Can’t wait to see 'em.

Something to chase with the camera to be sure. I’m a long way from any NS track so I’ll probably have to see them through other peoples pictures.

Can BNSF be far behind? I certainly hope not!

well, I just hope NS doesn’t try and pull UP’s trick, and decide to charge a surcharge on their lettering on models…

Andy, If i remember correctly, someone took U.P. to court and won so they dont charge anymore.

Jon…c’mon down…we can sit on my back porch and watch NS all day long!

I hope the NKP one comes through town. There would be alot of old railroaders that would love to see it.
Andy, short story, my friend was the engineer on the NS president’s train. the Black and white NS “F” units with the Tuscan Red cars was a purdy train. At any rate I met the pres at the stop point and got to tour the train. Real nice guy. He’s actually a railroad fan. But, he said two things that i hope he holds to. 1 He plans to get the steam program into full swing again and 2 if he has anythingn to say the NS will never charge modelers for their name or logo.

Nicholas, I knew UP quit charging after a period of time, but they did force me to change their letter designation to ""Utterly Pathetic"".... :)

Terry, would be nice if it does hold true…

I’m liking what i’m starting to see…

Ah bummer. I was hoping they would do the standard NKP logo not the “blue bird”. Still cool looking though.

5-stripe Pennsy anyone?

These will really be nice. I like the NYC Lightning Stripe too. Almost gives me a reason to want some modern 6 axle power :o

Nice, I wonder which versions will actually get painted… NYC is nice.
Control Nick Control… no spend no more money on trains!!! No dont look dont look…
