No John I was told I have to wait to see if Santa puts one under my tree. I sure hope he brings one instead of coal, after all my loco is a wood burner so coal is of no value.
OK Guys, 6 days and counting. Hope that Santa was good to ya. Cause the Challenge will be, Lets say Different then we have had before on several levels.
Lubricate the Brain, we will be out of the gate in a few days.
The gears are grinding but they are starting to move!
Different? Oh boy!
Brain, oh yea…I had one of those once. Now where did I put the darn thing?
I can’t wait
Been practicing… made 13 block tents on the band saw and have started 2 more solid block buildings. Covered with strip wood. Needed to remind myself that my conditions require a minimum 1/8" thick siding…
Dialing in the new pinner… bring it on, I found a couple of cells that still fire.
David; check by the door…

OK last night at the CVS store they have some cheesy Battery train sets for sale at 50% off, its a very cheesy looking loco and one very flimsy passenger car, but they are also G gauge it turns out and the loco is all self-contained, batteries are in it so I grabbed one just for the motor block, at $10 I may go back for a couple more today . I’m ready for whatever the challenge is…I think.
TodayI will clean off a small work area indoors where I can tinker during this cold spell. I also want to finish the new business for the layout before the challenge.
I’m warming up!
I was supposed to get so much done this past month, so the workbench would be clear. Yea, it didn’t happen.
3 days, but who’s counting, lol
The count down has begun. Only about 72 hrs to go. You guys can hold on for that long can’t you.
The best hint yet. This years challenge will even be more scale intensive then last years. And a whole lot more FUN!! Or exasperating depending on your life out look ( or your hangover from New Years Eve partying).
Since we’re in a cold wave and it’s going to continue to be cold I’m glad I have my work area in the house ready to go! That also means i only have three days to finish my new business for the layout!
So what is the challenge going to be then? Grab your leftover stuff and build? Turns out every time I bought something from Allan he would send a baggie full of scraps. All useful stuff of course.

W. Chas, like the rest of us, you’ll have to wait until 1 Jan to find out. The only hint we’ve been given is that a pin gun will be of some use.
Steve, how about if I insert the pins manually?
Just kidding.
48 hrs to go…
I finished up my end of things. Even got a space on the workbench cleared off. (Thats a rare thing for me).
