New Trestle and Bridge for Albu. Botanical Garden

Is it done yet???

Nice start, Bommer…

I bet you think that with all that going on at once you won’t have to watch glue dry. Nice work Boomer.

Good luck!..

Watching with interest.

Boomer,

Here is a pic of a similar bridge that I built for my railroad back in 2007. It is still in use after 6 years with very little maintenance. Made of Western Red Cedar, fastened with Gorilla Glue and 1/8" metal tie rods. It is 60" long plus the trestles on each end.

Very nice work, Boomer. I’m impressed by your jigs and patterns.

I know you didn’t want to do all the hardware for THIS one, but consider it for the next - I used threaded rods on mine and I think it could stay together without any glue.

Nice work Boomer, I too like your jigs and patterns

I did the same thing with mine. And when the wood dries out and shrinks just tighten up the nuts…

Wow nice work.

Lookin good, man…

Looking really good Boomer.

Very nice job. Regards,Ron.

…winking…

Nicely done Boomer. Waiting on the trestle

Terrific work Boomer. The bridge will stand up to the watering that is needed in the desert, as well as the hot Albuquerque summers.

That looks great.

Real Sweet!!
