And that’s it. Back to kitbashing with a hammer and a chainsaw. I actually have to sell off quite a bit of stuff that simply doesn’t work in this size layout, no idea if any interest here for some bottom end stuff. Probably be selling grouped as lots.

I’ve always been interested in oddball armor, demented prototypes and spectacular failures. I came across a modeling site, Vargas Models, that make 1/35 oddball armor models and I couldn’t resist. The tank is a WW1 Peugeot C2, and the other is a Soviet Grokhovsky armored motorcycle, both have been bashed into my layout as a semi-steampunk/sci fi theme. The Peugeot saw limited service in WW1 IIRC, and the Grok never made to production but I found it interesting how much it resembled a German kettenkrad which saw widespread use in the war and is the one singular piece of German hardware I would want as they were apparently quite unstoppable even in the worst conditions. Site has a couple other items I’m trying hard to justify, we’ll see what happens.

They also have a nice Civil War mortar and a railway gun.
1/35, but I saw a note saying they can produce at a custom scale. Maybe ask to eliminate the trucks, and then put on trucks & couplers of your choice.

Hi Cliff, that railway gun is currently ebay. But I’ve got something crazier in mind, if I can pull it off.
A few new items for the layout. As I have said before, I will be integrating elements of steam punk and sci fi and keeping with that idea I will be adding a few sci fi elements befitting a desert layout. Namely moisture vaporators and other star wars equipment, because why not? If Chris can have Lemurians, I can have Star Wars elements.
I got a set of 5 off ebay, they said 1/35 but they were really big. I found a box of Gundam/Macross model parts i have had since the 90s and used those parts to build smaller scale equipment. I also found on ebay someone selling star wars control panels like for doors. Here they are finished and will be integrated as invisibly as possible to keep them a surprise. Now I need to find a right scale Gronk.
