Yesterday between services, I was able to get a few things done:

I completed the skids and cross-member pieces for my up-coming Chicken House (1:1) and while I had the chainsaw laying around, I decided to go ahead and square up my 6x6 that would become the base for the Challenge Build. May be the only one who uses a chainsaw on the project.

There’s the door, the 6x6 and a Work Caboose to show size…building to 1:24 for simplicity nowadays

while sniffing around outside, I spied the drops from the Chicken House skids and thought they’d work nicely for the faux roof rafters

and whilst (I don’t really speak that way, but have always wanted to use that word) walking back to the shop, I stumbled over an old drop from a 4x4 and decided to use it to add to the character and help use up some of the unintentional roof overhang.

Here is my Porter-Cable Multi-saw doing what I’d once used a chisel for…cutting the door in.

Door fits OK, and the side-shed is stuck on pretty well too!

and then it was time to leave again, so the kids and I closed up the shop right after this picture…back soon
