It is not obvious that you can leave one field blank. Raw HTML works like that so I just tried it one day.
Once you know it is easy to size images in the posts.

I just found these last night. the 3rd pic celebrates the opening of the new Ohio River bridge.
The 2nd pic shows the seating alongside the boiler. Notice the bell is way back on the tender, would have been too loud up front.
John
And the air pump is back behind the rear driver…hate to have to sit next to that it if was on the boiler…
Many builders would tell you how you put the bell, etc. in the “wrong place.” That that wasn’t “prototype.”
What a kit bash that would make!
I like the cowling over the tender.
My bet is it’s to prevent coal dust from soiling the Ladies fashions…
If I could remember late night readings I think it’ the President of the P&LE RR (Pitts. and Lake Erie) and his family.
Doug, give those guys a napkin!
John

I never finished this. It was going to be steam powered.
Maybe I can make a little “dummy!”

Hey!, I resemble that remark. :o
Looks good Mark. Your almost done already.
I’m thinking at the rate I have gone so far, might be late next year I get real paint on it, then maybe 2 years from now, some lettering
Nice work Mark, but your bell looks a might low

I gotta stay away from these threads…this stuff sucks me in to quickly and I’ll end up building something I don’t want or need.
Looking good Mark

Im with Ya Rooster. hat would be a fun build and even better to run on a layout. That would be even cooler to do it live steam.
ROOSTER - I HAVE AN IDEA
you can build this one, and seeing how you don’t need it you can send it to me, solves 2 problems

Mark, the top one is a McKeen Railcar. Its powered by a marine internal combustion engine. And from what I have read, its not powered very well by it.
The early McKean cars had two main problems. The first was the lack of power and the second was it had no reverse gear!
