Large Scale Central

N.B.R.R v4.0

the top photo shows the skid-steer digging up my garden (or what should be a garden). We took about 18 tons from there in a dump-trailer up to the GRR site and dumped and then moved into place with the bobcat.

all in all it appears that I used close to 40 tons of dirt to fill in behind the retaining wall… :0

Nice work Cal. Looks like the hardest part is done. Nice to start seeing it take shape.

got it in and tamped, gonna work more tomorrow…

Coming together quite nicely!

Good to see the kids helping. It really makes it theirs, when they put in some sweat equity. They now know how to do it, and they can forever say that helped build it.

I agree with Dave , it is nice to see the kids taking part .

I presume that the young lady in the foreground is the site supervisor ?

Progress!! Yahoo!!!

Great!

as the Sun rises we can view the fruits of our labor…

it was an all hands on deck evening as we worked to get as much down before dark as we could. Today, after school I hope to get back out there and begin leveling and such…Rain forecast on Sat…I’m shooting for train(s) running a week from yesterday…“everyone bow your heads…let us pray”

Cale,
I am also enjoying watching the progress of your railroad.

Thanks for sharing,

I cant wait for the first train. By the way looking good.

Is this layout the same size as your old one? Looks a bit bigger, but I don’t remember ever seeing the whole thing on the other one.

Ya dun Gude!..

I’d say it’s bigger than 1 & 2, and smaller than 3 (all of which were never finished)
