I like it. You did a great job on it
Looked good in person too. Thanks for the trucks, they already got put into service. And it was nice to meet you.
Terry
It looks great outside! Though it was better seeing it in person. Nice job.
You are right Bruce, it looks better outside than it did inside the hall at the train show. This is a very neat model, a working model. Very cool. My indoor pictures are not this good. My question Brian is how did it fair in the judging?
Paul
Your outta control!!
Neat stuff!!
Nice meeting you Brian!

Not as I hoped. The judges were in a cluttered and dirty mood as these were considered the top 3 (1,2,3) -

I’ll be saving my models for the drag-n-brag in the future. I will be in my own booth promoting the biz at the Fall show and giving a seminar on ladder support. Expect to see a parade of my models in the booth. -Brian
Shoulda been Best in Show!
Great work, Brian! Better luck next time in the contest.

Next year Brian, next year!
Just keep adding details to it, think of it as a never ending project as you can always add more details, plants, rework rock faces etc etc.
Not sure how it could not make the top 3 three. I like the three pictures but you are correct a little too cluttered for me. There is always the next one.

I like it a lot. One thing you might do is finish it by putting some hardwood fascia around the edges and on the cliff ends rather than just painting it. I know, time was a factor.
I thought it was fantastic Brian…maybe you needed one of Ray’s outhouses added in with stains and all and it would have taken 1st since they had dirty on their minds.
That’s it. An outhouse just to the right of the corrugated shed, right up front so they won’t miss it!
edit: stupid fingers!
Yeah Ray,
Post up one of your wood clad “loo” structures…
Brian needs inspired to make a wicked one!
Dallee should make up a buzzing fly sound card.
Right Brian, like that over weathered loco we were looking at. I am surprised about the turntable, but it’s like the more junk you put on a model, the better? it is. I can’t wait to see your whole booth exhibit in the fall. That might get you more work than you can do. I think the ladder workshop will also be very interesting.
Paul
You guys have inspired me. My next model contest entry will be a 7/8’s (1:13.7) scale outhouse diorama complete with stains!

 Sweet!!!
