It was all nice and shiny… it didn’t take long to get trashed !! Maybe you should have a meeting with your workers to tell them to take it easy and respect the equipment?

Unlikely. I think I mentioned this all before, Adnah Neyhart was a real early oil baron. In the late 1860s and early 70’s, his tank car fleet hauled 1/4 of the oil shipped out of the Pennsyvania fields.

That’s why his company was one of the more important ones that John D Rockefeller’s Standard Oil Trust snapped up (in 1875)… in order to further put the squeeeeeeeze on the holdout small refineries and wildcatters.

Milk travelled in 5 gallon cans inside iced reefers (or occasionally, for very short distances, in the baggage compartment)

Total new expenditures was $22… mostly on the Ozark stake pockets, nwb castings, brass rod, and the red decals
