Mik's Build Challenge 2017

We’re coming…

to …

get …

some …

STONE

Ok, thanks Dave. So, as I thought, the stone should, probably do the face of the building I have in mind.

Now I need to dig into my “Someday list” pictures and see if I can figure this all out.

I can’t wait till I get stoned.

I mean. I can’t wait till I get my stones.

I mean, I can’t wait until I get the faux stone building material from Dave.

Yea, that’s what I meant.

Great thanks for the visual Dave.

I think it will build my project just fine.

Ok getting a better idea of what’s coming, already shifting some ideas around.

This looks to be a fun challenge. Haven’t decided yet if I want want in, still thinking of ideas.(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif) The thought of more stones in my life right now after passing a kidney stone on Christmas Eve is one that my brain is having a hard time wrapping around. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)

oh boy. Looks like I might need more. Dave, could I get 2 bags (I’ll say the 2nd bag will go towards my $30 allotment - just let me know what I owe you - to include s+h for both bags)?

If not, I’ll have to re-think how I’m going to do what I plan…back to the paper towels.

Well with trepidation, nervousness, angst and a bit of fear I will be in this years challenge. More worried about what to actually build and be able to finish on time, I think the under budget will be easy, the checkbook holder is watching closely.

Pete, for us working stiffs, the deadline is difficult to meet. I have to admit that on all of my builds (so far), I had not finished all of the planned details before the deadline. But, even though I have entered unfinished projects, I will still participate, because in participating I enjoy the fellowship, I learn a few things, and I get another project off my “Someday” list.

Bingo. And plan on a couple or three late nights, Pete. Glad you decided to join the fun.

I already see an issue un-folding…

Here is the count on a bag of stones…

135 whole stones.

45 1/2 stones.

24 Skinny 1/2 stones.

15 1/4 stones.

6 triple size.

So that being said… If you have the need or want for more stones. I can provide then in sets of 1 whole sheet. Which is 1/3 of a bag.

I will ship them out at no additional POSTAGE, but they will cost a PAYPAL payment of $5.00 per sheet ( Still a bargain @ twice that price ).

NOTE: it does cost against your $30.00 challenge limit.

As long as we are at it. I also have left over doors from the door challenge… BUT only in 1:30 scale. 1.32 inches wide x 2.78 inches tall. Free with stone kits for those that want them, 16 to give away first come first served, till there gone.

Send me an e-mail before the shipping date, or better yet, as soon as you know that you want additional sheets. After original shipping i’ll need to add postage cost.

Ooh, I love the sound of a can of worms being opened. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Dave,

Any issue with us casting our own from your blocks? Personal use obviously, I am not going into the cut stone bussiness but instead of getting more from you it’s just as easy to make my own mold and then have an infinite supply. As long as your OK with me pirating your design.

Devon… No problem casting.

BUT, Grasshopper, pay attention to old proverb, about giving you a stone, or teaching you how to make a stone.

I like that better, as others could benefit also.

Dave, I’ll take an additional set of 135 whole stones, and I’ll take all the 1:30 doors you can spare for sure.

What’s your email for paypal and I’ll send you $$$$ right away friends and family so you don’t have to pay those bstrds at ebay and paypal…

GUYS! Here is how it’s gonna work… I have not a clue as to the shipping cost, let alone added costs… I bag up the stuff, Address the envelope, drag my arse to the post office, lay the envelope on the scale, the vivacious postal clerk punches in the zip code, and rings up the postage, Prints the postage stamp and sticks it on, Scans it, and we start all over again on the next envelope… when we’re done, out zips several feet of printout, and I swipe the plastic. She smiles, I smile, and we both have a nice day…

So, On the honor system guys, I’ll send out the envelopes, When you get them, if you owe added postage, read the label and then take care of it.

Easy breezzzzee…

Sounds like a plan Dave, want to make sure I cover my costs.

Chris

Dave PM sent, I’ll take a door.

Hmmm… reading this… I got it’s a tribute to Ray Dunkin… (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Then this sneaky guy Taylor slips in stones with his name on them… (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-yell.gif)

This should be interesting for sure! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
