Mik's Build Challenge 2014

At the end of the posting period (today), Plus a day (tomorrow) for viewing, and the fact that I’ll be riding the D&S Winter train, I’ll start a official voting thread on Friday.

Yes there will be several categories, including the “Mik” award.

Stay tuned.

Cool!

Thanks Dave for the multiple category’s in voting and keeping it organized …The challenge is Fantastic this year!

I’m totally diggin it!

I think we are going to need as many categories as entrants… all the others deserve the awards. I already won a building!

John

Should one of the categories be “the fastest to be put on the layout?” After I took the pictures of mine I left mine on the layout! The town has an undertaker!

John I agree, I won a building and I got a project off my “Someday” list. I need to that that again a few dozen times and I might actually have something here.

I will second David’s comments. My prize is the building I built that I wanted to do for a long time, plus It exercised my brain to think of ways to recycle “unusable” materials.

Thanks for the challenge, and I had fun!

Gee Doug, I HAD to finish mine In Place…is that faster?

Sucker weighs a ton!

I nominate you for best Ghoulish Subject… ok?

You WIN John!

dang, that was tough…Great Work Everyone!

Boomer: I second Dave’s comment we will most definitely not let you withdraw from the Challenge. You are in deep - up to the butt I guess. lol

I thank you for you apology, but truthfully it was quite unnecessary. The reason this came about is that I felt that the build by John Passaro was of great merit but his scale is 1:22.5 I believe and his name was not on the list so I expected other lists for the other scales matching the doors that were sent out. So don’t feel bad about it: I don’t. I just enjoyed, as did the other guys, being part of it all. It isn’t about winning, if it was I most likely would have declined to make a build.

A train buddy asked me what the prizes were. I didn’t know. I was in this for the FUN!
