I was a just going to double-check the deadline. My brain got locked in on the 15th! I was just taking a glue break and glad to see I was wrong!
Welllllll it’s actually Sun up on the 18th if you have to put in an all nighter.
If I do I’ll be inhaling paint fumes! You’ll be able to tell if the pictures are out of focus!

Digging up old threads since it’s all the rage here these days
Down to the wire. 24 hr’s to go, unless you need the “till sunup” all nighter, extension.
So far some great builds in the works.
Watch for the “Official Picture posting” Thread to post your finished build pictures to.
It’s been fun, interesting, informative and “entertaining” watching these build take shape…Good luck to all of you and well done!
Thanks Ken for your support. The Challenge has certainly been all what you say Ken. Just to be involved in it all was, for me a challenge.
It certainly brought out the best facet of the Forum and many of it Members. In my view it is what this Forum is, or should be, all about.
I probably never would have tried my hand at this end of g scale if it wasn’t for the Challenge. I have more and more fun and have tried my hand at MOW, gondolas, a kitbashed trolley, etc. now i get one project finished and look to the next one. Being legally blind slows my building but doesn’t keep me from doing it!
Thanks Dave for being so organized to pull this off. Truly a great event with multiple talented modelers from around the country and around the world.
This has been a lot of fun.
Doc Tom
I work tomorrow (24 hours) I may be hard pressed to get my pics posted.
Terry
I am glad I joined the challenge. Even if I don’t getter done, but I probably will, it has taken a project from the “someday” list, and brought it into existence.
And its so fun and informative to watch my project grow alongside some other truly fantastic builds.

According to the rules on page 1 we have both the 18th and 19th to post pics.
I’m ready to post mine, just need Dave to post the thread to do so.
Same here Vic. I’m finished and ready to post pictures… Travis
Well, that is good that we still have tomorrow, 19th. to post pics. After after getting home from church today, then lunch, I decided that as it was not raining I would cut up more wood for the home fire. Got to grab sunny days whilst you can here at present, especially if you are using electric saws!! I tried taking some pics this evening put my cell phone does not take good pics in artificial light: they are not brilliant in good light either, but at least the colours show up better.

It seems that most of us drew our original idea / concept on a napkin…with the results being spectacular. Perhaps that should become a tradition?
Not a rule of course but who among us wishes to temp fate?..
Ah, um, rats. You mean I was supposed to draw up a plan? I don’t remember reading that in the rules. Oh…rats!
I did my very basic sketches in Cad, mostly just for sizes. Architects drawing on napkins is an old cliche …today we use the tablecloth.
Plans? Well then, I didn’t know we were supposed to have plans. Yikes!
And I agree with Vic Smith…tablecloths, preferably over dinner in a restaurant, would be my choice.
Although if anyone’s interested I could tell a really good true story about projects starting on a napkin, even if it were a cloth napkin.
As we leave it to restaurants and hotels to provide paper napkins I was not able to do a plan; besides I think I would have incurred some displeasure here if I had used one of our linen napkins for my plan.
Thank goodness for Kalmbach and their, often free, down loadable plans.
Dave as were getting kinda close to the end of posting period, can you recap the voting procedures, are there categories? best in show? most creative? Will all this be posted in the entries thread once the entry period has ended???
Just wondering how this is going to be done.
