Mik's Build Challenge 2014 - Adams Station

Nice!

A lovely, but simple in appearance, project Lou. Nice work.

Thank you for all the compliments.

Rooster: The bench is made from the left over fence plastic part that was like a “U” channel. Out comes the heat gun. One side was left full width and heated to about a right angle. The other side of the U was heated and bent in to appear like an angled support. Double face tape adhered it to the back wall, and some Rustoleum Brown Textured Paint that I picked up on clearance (so it doesn’t count) provided the finish.

I really followed Mik’s Rule #1 and had fun. I have wanted to do this station for a long time.

Here’s the final pictures:

The South, or Trenton side:

The North, or New York side:

The impatient, yet sleepy, commuter waiting for the 6:10

I will follow up with a picture of Grandpop Varga as soon as I can scan it in. Lou

I forgot to mention that the roof was covered with strips of masking tape and painted black. The stove pipe is made from the metal handle from a disposable glue brush.

I want you to go to a Sherwin Williams store and get a brochure on their Historic paint pallets.

You will love them and understand more.

Great build!

OK Rooster. There is one down the street. Thanks for the comments.
