Mik's 2021 Challenge Thoughts

I have enjoyed the kits you provided, tin roofing and stones. I model in an off scale so i opted to make my own flat car for Moose to propel. I might have used a scaled up and pressure treated 2x for my turn table! I would be happy to pay postage and materials and donate for scholarships.

Last year i was in the middle of some other project and missed out on the fun…

I hope you stay healthy for years to come and i will be waiting up on New years to make sure 2020 actually leaves!

Well… For MIK 2020, Original plan “A” got morphed into New Plan “B”. I had settled onto the " B " plan and was going to use the Flat Rate “Small Priority Box” for $8.30 shipping.

Progressed went ahead… Then I went to the PO and grabbed one…AARggggg… it is small, really small, Inside: 8 5/8″ x 5 3/8″ x 1 5/8″. WAY to small for the planned fun…

Next size up, is the Medium Flat Rate Box — 2 (side-loading) Big enough for the plan, but the Shipping cost would skyrocket to $15.05 each… Way no-go range…

SOooooo… Now into NEW PLAN " Revised plan C rev. 2.3 "

We can do this still…

Stand by friends…

Dave, they do have a slightly larger box, not flat rate, and you have to order them as no post office seams to carry, but they are free. depending on the weight of the content might be feasible for near the flat rate cost.

What was the final decision and or plan?

Michael

If the $15.05 is not included in the challenge budget, I’m ok with the price to get the whatchamacallit, or thingamabob sent .
