I like it a lot, David. Are those pigeons already nesting where the roof will be?
So am I Rooster. My shop foreman, Tom Morrow, hasn’t told me how he is going to pull off that small miracle.
Bill, that’s a tchotchke my mom has on the coffee table. The coffee table is where I have to work now, since my work table is under a pile of projects, unfinished projects, that I am Devoning for a while.
I am looking forward to seeing this one coming along…very cool!
The columns are going to make this interesting building really cool.
I’m really hopping and waiting for those 36 Double D’s. They should be outstanding once you get them up.
David,
Those wedding cake columns are just perfect. What a great idea. I might have to keep my eyes open for some of them and throw them in a box.
Devon, if I wander around the craft store long enough, I usually bring something home.

They make them in different sizes as well. I used the medium sized ones when I built a lumber company back in 2007. Bruce Chandler built a beautiful bank also many years ago with them as well.
David, are you including the windows, and did you leave enough room between the columns and the stone edge of the building? One stone wide between the brick columns doesn’t seem like enough space for the windows…
They are narrow windows, and I don’t want a 2 foot wide bank in my small yard. So yea, that space is enough for what I am doing.
Hey David, maybe if you go to some weddings, you can collect come more columns and build a scale Athens temple. That would look good on the layout.
Why stop their build the coliseum. Take up as a wedding crasher
LOL, guys. I don’t need a Greek temple in Shannon…or do I?
Anyway, tonight my mom was dozing on the couch, sick with the flue. Since my only available work surface is the coffee table, I was only able to do a little bit of work tonight.
I sanded the ends of some coroplast smooth
And then I built up the slab/top step of the entrance.
I like the stone columns. Well, I like the wedding cake columns too. Is this going to be just a building front or are you going to build the rest of it too?
The plan is that its going to be a complete building. But, since I just can’t seam to get traction on this build, I may finish it 2 months after Devon finishes his railroad…Sept of 2021, right Devon? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
No you have til October. I got a month extension remember August 2017
Edited: just went back and saw the year lol
We should add a devonimg category. For the MIK build that takes the longest to get finished. Best part is you never have to give out the award
Devon, to be honest, I have never “finished” any of my Mik projects. So far they all have been cut short at the final detail stage of their construction.

Now that would be a neat idea for the challenge next year. We all have to build a ruin for our layouts.
