Large Scale Central

Master List of Projects

Hello all!

I thought I’d share with everyone my master files list on my website.
Leeds Hill Railroad – How-To Builds
Currently, I have a mix of styrene projects & 3D printer files on the page. These files are all things available for anyone to download and build on their own. Below is a sample of what I’ve designed.

Styrene

  • Pallet / Skid
  • Apple Crate
  • Large Wooden Crate

3D Printer (STL files)

  • Bachmann replacement grab rails
  • gallon maple syrup jug
  • bread crate (I intend to make a better version of this that actually snaps into others)
  • three link coupling (I designed these for my Thomas & Friends stock)
  • yard dwarf signal

I have other files that I need to finalize, then they will also be uploaded.

I wish I had a master list of things to do on my RR, at 80 and have been railroading for some 72 years my master list, or as I call it just getting the desire to do something on the RR is slowly getting very short of to do things. Over the years I have been just about every scale over those 72 years of model RR and including 1 1/2" scale for some 20 years, probably the most enjoyed of all my RR scales when you can ride on your trains. Today I just have large scale and that’s most likely where it will end. For all model railroaders today, have a list and work toward doing it, it’s what keeps you going.

I have a bit of that, too, Vic. I am trying to keep every project up on my website with the intention that others can learn from my mistakes. But, sometimes things just sit in the corner of the workshop and hide for a long time.

A couple years go I did a “Finish what you started” thread.

I still dont have all that stuff finished, and I have more things to complete!

Don’t remind me Bob of all my unfinished projects. Ahhh :hushed:

my to do list is short:

  1. dismantle my last layout. (about 70% done)
  2. tidy up my hobby room ( some square inches done)
  3. clean up my hobby room ( postponed because of “2)” )
  4. finish my “2011 challenge” building (after digging it out of the workbench)
  5. build the ultimate, perfect layout (in the difficult stage between arm-chair modeling and devoning)

my wife’s to do list:
keep me alive, until i have finished points 1 to 3.
