Long Caboose

I wanted to point that out too, but coming from a new comer I thought that maybe some had it that way.

Bruce Looks realy great! BUT… Looks like they are on backwards? I thought you grabbed the long one next to the door, from the steps? Sorry to mess up such a clean job. Sean

Is this possible from the Joat??? Perhaps it’s the European version?

Hahaha. Do’h

Egads. I didn’t even think

I wouldn’t have known and looks darn good too me! Perhaps being into powered boxcars here ain’t so bad after all… Ain’t got nobody too pick that stuff out!
Did enjoy note too self about railing install!!! Totally understand!

Hey, Sean, here’s a bag of rivets. How many are in there? :stuck_out_tongue:

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

My biggest OOPS (so far) was when I was rebuilding the motor on my '58 MGA. I took out two large bolts, put them “right there,” where I would not forget them. After the motor was back in and running smoothly, those two bolts were still “right there.” They are still “right there” twenty years later. Spare parts, I guess.

No, no no!!! They are correct for the drunken tourist era when this car as used to serve alcoholic beverages. Th grab irons extent to the floor to assist patrons in getting back up off the floor to come in for another round.

Perhaps this issue must be decided upon by our supreme RR court justice Father Fred?
Are the caboose guardrail’s up to OSHA specs though!

This may well be classified as a “Chandler”

Wow. I can’t believe I did that. Anyway, that’s fixed.

I also added some reinforcement in the form of eye pins to the cupola grabs

And started painting…

Nice to know I’m not the only one to suffer an occasional “brain fart” As for calling the move a “Chandler”…we already have a move referred to as a “Chandler”. But being feeble minded…I’ve forgotten what it is  Ralph

About done. Just realized I forgot to add the glad hands.

Lookin good!

One fine looking caboose…

Nice finish Bruce

What type of finish did you use for the roof?

Thanks, guys.
The roof is covered with some stuff I got from JoAnn’s Fabrics. I THINK it’s called PatternEase or something like that. It’s very thin and gives a nice texture.

Sweet!

Bruce.
The roster of your railroad continues to grow. All very nice equipment.
