Fair enough !
Boys, boys can’t we all just get along? Just kidding. Pete your cradle is on the way to Annapolis. Hope it makes your engine repairs a little easier. The $100.00 total cost is to the East coast. It might be a little less in the midwest area and a little more to the West coast.

Folks - www.OnlyTrains.com has a foam unit for sale about $22 for large scale which are made in Germany. I have two which, if necessary, you can lay together for longer locos.
Tom
CL52010 Soft Foam Wedge for Engine Maintenance or Repairs.
Total approximate lengh 11.8 inches or 300mm
This Foam allows for safe and gentle positioning of locomotives during maintenence and repair work. The loco beds come packed in a box so they can be stored in a dust-free and UV protected place.
Also available in 23.62 or 600mm sections, please call/email for special order.
I just came across a catalog by Champex-Linden that shows that CL52010 cradle plus a lot of other G-Scale parts
Just got my cradle (Thanks, Dan.) Looks magnificent.
Glad you like it, Pete. Now get those engines in top notch working order. Thanks Dan
That cradle looks great! May need to put some money away to get one for myself…
Used mine just yesterday, and will continue to use it to clean wheels and service engines for the upcoming open house. Same design but from the original maker.
Broke the horn right off the FA in no time. Of course this horn had been broken and repaired previously…, from this same situation. Now it just breaks more easily.
You will find that “rail things” with an offset stack (e.g., Aristo railbus, Accucraft Goose, many railcars) or detail won’t sit properly in the cradle and either these details need to be removed, left to hang over the end, or handled gingerly.
If I was rooster I would have a comment

I can’t believe you don’t. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Holding my tongue, using pliers
there’s constructive criticism, and just plain criticism
I would comment that the cradle is larger than I expected. The base must be 24" wide, so it does take up a lot of workbench.
Dan - how about posting the exact dimensions?
The base is 16"x24"x3 1/2"deep. The cradle is 26"long.
