You guys continue to flame and name call and everything else. Personally, Im not interested one bit about it, but your constant bickering and name calling keeps my inbox full of complaints, both from people taking part, and others that dont even post here.

Dont you pay attention to what Ive been saying? Facts: OK, Wild speculation: Not OK.

Is THAT clear enough? Do I have to kick some ass next?

SHUT THE (#&$ UP about LGB, unless you have REAL information, no “friend of a friend” or “lookee over here” posts.

Period, end of statement.

How’s that for clarity?

Heads are about to roll. You know who you are, on both sides of this…if you don’t, finding my size 9 boots up your ass is going to be a surprise.

I’ll limit my discussion of the insolvency to the Saturday Disgust…er…Digest, if were still going to do it that way, if we are going to drop it entirely, I can find a Twinkie to stuff my piehole with :wink:

But I will continue to discuss LGB products if it is a legitimate subject of hobby discusion, like the topic of track options, or kitbashing, or well…you get what I mean. i see no need to censor ALL discussion of LGB products. Just stick to the subject :smiley:

Over the years, in the different fora, I have come to the conclusion that it is like in some of the old Western movies.

Instead of looking for the Saloon, some people on the fora should ask “Where’s the sharpening service? I have an axe to grind!”
And since they don’t say that, the members of the forum get to find out sooner or later that the axe really needs grinding. It has lost any edge, if it had any to start with.

All of it in the name of “promoting the hobby”. :wink: :slight_smile: :open_mouth:

Counter the “promotion” with a few straight facts and … well you know the story … we wait 'til next week, for the next upgrade, for a recall from the mfg, for more information on a specific problem - what problem? there is no problem! - and on and on it goes.
Luckily I got 30+ years of training in dealing with the evasions, white washing and stalling tactics in my “previous life”; what’s happening in the hobby is just a variation on the theme. :wink: :slight_smile:

Obfuscation, Spin, BS.
Call it what you like. It pervades all walks of our societies. Starting at the top and working itself all the way down. Local councils “fixing” inappropriate building approvals for the “benefit” of their backers, is just one example.,

But hey!!! We can’t rock the boat now can we.

I say hang all the bad guys.

As high as you can.

If achieving that end means asking awkward questions to thwart the very first line above. So be it!!!

I’ll just spin my way out to the layout and work on a siding! I’ve installed ground throws on most of my LGB switches and by adding springs I was able to get the switches to work perfectly. Out of all of them I have one I didn’t have to put a spring on! Must be German engineering!

I’m definitely NOT interested in it, but there is a vocal minority that continues to use this forum to snipe at each other. This crap has gone from site to site, and its landed here for now. Being the site owner, I have to have a set of rules to live by. Ever since I’ve been running this site, its been run as “you’re in my living room”, and people should behave as such. Being online makes people braver than they would be if they were face to face. There are lots of 'Internet Tough Guys" who are all whiney and bitchy when they get taken to task for what they say online.

My take is if you cant behave here, go away.

I kinda thought that comment about “don’t read them” was a bit arrogant. While the rest of us can afford to do that, Bob certainly has to deal with them even if he doesn’t have to read them.

Its his site and whether you like it or not its his rules. Don’t like it…can’t behave according to them…leave!!! and don’t let the door hit you on the way out!

Want a place to have a pissing match with someone else. Get your own damn site!

I like the info but the pissing matches need to go. You guys better be thankful Bob is as open as he is. That is why you’re all here aren’t you. Most of the “offenders” have been chased, banned or chided off every other site they tried this crap at.

Just keep it up and you’ll end up needing to find another home.

If that isn’t clear enough then you DO need to leave!

Well, I think the whole thing needs to be toned down a bit.

I personally do not think that trying to confine debates and mud slinging to one forum has worked, it has become pervasive.

I come here to talk, learn, and share about trains.

When it gets peripheral to trains, it gets less interesting to me, but I could just skip a TYPICAL off topic forum. Having the General Discussion forum be almost anything but trains seems just wrong.

When it gets completely off trains, I can get these conversations anywhere, AND it would most likely be face to face, where people would be less apt to bully each other, call names, and act like children.

I think it’s time to turn LSC back to trains, and have a zero tolerance on personal attacks, nasty talk, and way off topic junk. It just is not needed to communicate between adults, and it is just not enjoyable.

Just my 2 cents, and my personal opinion.
