amazing what is in the public domain and readily accessible
Amen! But it's best done at at the public library. Wouldn't want to end up like your buddy Warren. He thought he was computer clever, like you!
Oh what a trail those hard drive's leave. I won't even do a map-quest of prime locations from home.
Jack,
“My buddy Warren” is a bit of a suuuuuuuuper stretch, but I guess if geographical vicinity counts the only closer buddy was/is Steve. As far as being computer savvy is concerned, it all depends if one is into nefarious stuff i.e. organizing a SPAM campaign aimed at a bank or OTOH participating on a few fora discussing hobby topics - by your posts on the different fora I’d say you’re not very good at the latter. Is that because you’re so busy brushing over that which will not be changed i.e. Ernst Paul Lehmann Patentwerk oHG had to declare insolvency and Märklin was awarded the EPL assets they were bidding for??
And that “stellar, unblemished” reputation of the LGBoA Service department took quite a hit, what Bryan wrote is just the latest installment, won’t be the last either! Of course there were plenty of other instances, the only difference was the combined forces of Ventilators and Red Box Brigade would usually ride to the rescue and drown the not-so-stellar reports with the usual “red noise” (no, that’s not the same as “white noise”!)
Sheesh imagine your buddy Marvin won’t be able to go “dumpster diving” at Nancy Ridge anymore. That was one whopper of a good tale, always made me wonder how they came up with that scenario; that took more than the usual imagination!
BTW there is good News out of Germany as far as repairs and such are concerned.
