Jan, nothing mysterious here. Last year Lehmann had a refusal of supply by its server, due possibly non paying of server fees. LGBoA took up the old LGBb website and hosted it on their own website. It is as simple as that - no subtefuge.
Jan, that exact thing is done far more than you can imagine. Some sites that sell the web addresses now have built in means to prevent that. For instance, Register.com now has a 30 day hold on web addesses when they expire.

Far from it. That domain was not available, so nothing to be registered or sold.
When the “trouble” with the host developed LGBoA was extremely confident and hopeful that G45/LGBoA would be able to acquire the assets of the insolvent EPL Patentwerk oHG.
It wasn’t for lack of trying on their part, it was just a matter of “you don’t always get what you want”; i.e. Märklin was in the end the successful bidder.
I guess they now negotiate. Märklin is in a good position since the content of the website should by rights be part of the EPL assets. Not withstanding some fancy footwork that happened during the temporary insolvency. Just one more instance where one would have to ask “What exactly was the insolvency trustee doing?”.
