Thanks fopr the comments. I’m working on getting something set up for 1:20 battery power. Then I can do the real clearance test on the cut / tunnel and get some more pictures. More pictures of this run in the Deep Cut thread.
Yesterday the train group I meet with on mondays spent the day running on my layout. Weather was very hot and humid so we mainly just let trains run while we sat in the shade and talked. Had a great day overall. One of the guys brough their gypsy engine to run. I fell in love with it and a great runner. I need one now but way out of my price range.

Ran the first F Scale train of the summer today. The Clarence Test Extra arrives at Northville. The house needs paint and the better half’s garden could use a little TLC, but at least it’s green The two evergreens behind the boxcar came up last year from seed…

Good that you got to run trains, but a shame the weather has been so extreme and stopped a lot of the enjoyment. Nice pics Jon
looking good, Jon…
After the Clarence Test Extra cleared, the railroad ran the first revenue train of the season. A few cars for Walk Landing and a caboose full of rail fans ready to photograph the action. FF: Click to Enlarge - IE: Right Click Photo and select Open Link in New Window to Enlarge It was sweaty work, but some one had to do it EDIT - Before anyone complains, those figures are too small. They are probably 1:32 (Life Like). I don’t have any 1:20 scale working people and when I saw the box car go by the dock with the flat staged there, this shot came to mind. I used what I had !
Nice Jon, thanks for sharing. Glad to see you are finally making some money from that hole in the ground.

Jon looks great. I bet it feel great to run trains. Now you cant use the heat as an excuse not to be outside. You have enough trees for shad to sit under as the trains run.
Finalley got some releif in the weather. Morning temps in the 50’s and low 80’s for the high. I had the big john run some log cars while the Rogers took some fright.

I took my free bobber caboose from Aristo and repainted it. I also added trucks to it and get rid of the single axle. Just needs decals.

Your railroad is looking good too Shawn. We had a slight break in the heat. AC has been off the last two evenings
The weatherman tells me we had a break in the heat too.
But I don’t consider 90F a break from the heat

Nice Shawn. I like the cart.
