Lazy days of summer

Its time for everyones summer shots post them here. Here are some scenes along the Kittatinny Mtn. RR. Got an early start to a great day. Started running trains at 7AM and had them running through-out the day. Starting temp was low 50’s and the high was 75 degrees. I got my Aristo Rogers out since it has not seen much run time in a while and my REA Rogers is in the shop gettinga make-over (no Rooster its not going to be pink) The old Porter sits along the engine house rusting away with the rest of the junk

Going over red rock

Pulling the Allegany Valley Boxcar with a new gondola (bachmann 1:20 20ft cars)

The otherside of the engine house and more rusty junk

I love this shot. Coming off the s curve in the early morning sunlight.

Mother moose and her baby warming up in the early morning sun

The Howell mine has not seen much use since the economy has gotten bad.

Roosters faverite plow has been retired to the junk yard overgrown with weeds. This past winter was rough on it.

Gondola has the same fate as the plow

Shawn, your railroad just looks better & better… Love the pictures…

See dad has a soft side too!

Very nice Shawn. Weather was great here too and should be for the next few days. I only have a few feet more of BF rocks to install before I can complete the roadbed and put the track back in. I might get a summer run in yet

Nice work

Hi Shawn,

It all looks great - a wonderful rural atmosphere that you have created.

Keep up the good work. Great attention to detail.

Tks for the photos… Very neat R.R. Like the roof on the eng. house… look very real. Keep posting pic. Yup… looks like a lazy summer day Noel

Hollywood, layout is looking good. No pictures of Roosters? You let him over your house? Im suprised his dad let him out to play. LOL I have to admit his powered boxcar looks good out their.

Hollywood, Nice to see you and Rooster running trains. I ran a few myself today. Not many pictures though. Ran an inspection train first.

The Sunny View Line ran a reduced Holiday schedule.

A small freight was put together. Crews were unhappy about working the holiday. But Marconi wanted his goats.

Two very short movie clips off my camera. Never done this before but didn’t work too bad. Sound would have been nice!

If you've never done it before, where did the snow plow video come from ?
