OK! Paid off the Truck yesterday, so it looks favorable for my attendance…Say Ric…got any clearance issues? I’m hoping I’ll get one of the Big Honkin’ Shays rebuilt for 1:20 by the end of the month…

I’m sorry Ric, just couldn’t let that one go…
Bart,
Don’t believe Andy. The last Shay through the Shed cleared the way for you. Those stacks are stronger than you think. Actually, we had to perform some “jigsaw cosmetic work” after that clearance was checked.
To answer your clearance question directly, Clarence. Of course, we have clearance problems. Its a narrow gauge, branch line railroad with all the opportunities. Someplaces you need small equipment to get through. Some places, you don’t. You have to watch clearances, keep the Dispatcher informed as to where you are, catch hell from the Yardmaster at Consolidated and have a good time while negotiating less than Class 1 track work. You are required to pick up passengers at scheduled, flag and along the right of way stops, eat too much and have a good time. Having a good time is optional.

You are required to ... have a good time. Having a good time is optional.
“You vill haf goot time, or you vill be shot!”
This is the wrong part of the World to kid about shooting. We take wasting of ammunition really serious.

Well, Bart, could you email me your email address and/or cell # and we can discuss travel arrangements.
We have “friends” that if they got beat up with a new stick, they’d complain. Having a good time or having a good day is totally up to the individual. You just can’t force people to have a good time. I truely believe some people enjoy being miserable. And that’s fine, but why do they have to share it with everyone? I’ve chosen to be happy and enjoy the day. I had a bad day once and decided not to do that any more. Its a mind set and it works for me. Your results may vary.

You’re right…
Bart Salmons said:Personal favorite beverages or smokes should be brought along. We'll have food, drink and entertainment. Ken will bring his jar of instant coffee, but we'll have a pot going. Bart bring your favorite swill, we have rum, purely for medicinal reasons, of course. There will be gas and water for live steam. Couplers on equipment is mostly Kadee "G's", but we can do some mods to make things work, if something doesn't.

There is a Super 8 (618) 594 - 8888 and a Microtel (618) 594 - 7666,(876) 451 - 7666, close bye. I wish I could offer lodging, but we have a conflict with Jan’s business.
I look forward to seeing you guys and we are honored you would attend.
I just turned down another invitation for that weekend 'cause I’m going to Golding’s
Somebody buy Tom a pair of shoes…

Got a room booked at the Super 8…might need directions from there to your place unless your so well known in town we can ask the desk clerk…
Should arrive sometime late Fri afternoon or evenin…unless Bart gets us arrested for sumthin or other…

Sigh, I axed my Parole Officer, but she said it was too far to go.
…after “Axing” him; it must have been hard to understand what he said, unless you didn’t use the axe on his head…should have finished him/her/it off and made a quick get-a-way to Ric’s place.
Ric would put you up and tell them that you were there all the time; reporting to Andre’, who lives a wee bit closer…
Not “him” Fred. “Her”! Diana’s got him on a short leash…
Many people know me in town. Many people wish they didn’t know me. There are new owners of the “Super 8”, I’ve not had a lot of dealing with them. I’ve not heard complaints and the parking lot is full. If you get a room on the north side, you’ll be able to take pictures of our “Memorial Snake Fence”. Long story, no since getting in to politics here. I’ll send directions to Ken’s email. And that goes for anyone else that wants to attend.
As far as “Global Warming” - we drive big honkin’ vehicles around here, burn leaves, and enjoy life. Should be a campfire going every night.
