Large Scale Central

I've become a Closet Modeler.

Man I hate moving! I would take pictures of my trains if I could find them.

Don’t have a shop now, so I have to build one in part of my garage. Be starting that first of June and hopefully have it done mid-July. Good news is I’m in my final resting place so the RR will be getting started Late-Fall. (no year specified)

Chris

Great!

We have Butt modelers … Rivet counters … Roundy Rounds … now Closet modelers… this list could be endless… (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)

Love the “no year specified”. I finally “Acquired” (re: wife allowed) me to setup my work desk in the hall so I can at least work on things. Now - where are the boxes with all my modeling tools and supplies in?

I’ve seen what these vultures did to Devon when he specified a completion date. I’m not going to get myself in that situation.

A smartman learns from the mistakes of others.

Hey I resemble that!

Why do you think I haven’t said squat about my RR.

At this point I am just a “Mental Modeler” as all I can do is contemplate projects in my head. My workbench move has stalled until I can find a more efficient storage arraignment as my current approach has just gridlocked my garage. Just need to just start chucking useless things out, by the boat load.

Vic

I think we are all a little “Mental”, but some of us are worse than others though. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)Not sure how you can hack that, I’ve been without for 2 weeks now and already getting the shakes.

Yup, and that’s why, usually when I mention a project of mine, I am either almost done with it, or well on my way. If I had started a thread on some of my projects, the thread would be several years old, and with more jabs at me, and "Is it done yet"s, then any of us could stand.

The answer to the vultures should be “it’ll get done when it’s done”

Truthfully I’m not worried about it. It is all intended to be in good fun. I did find my Shay today, so that is good.

Mike yea, but I was doing rapid fire posts in a how to thread, and someone posted something to the effect of “what’s the next step?”, in the minute or two it took me to compose and populate the next post with pictures. So some of them “vultures” don’t even wait for the body to cool.

Where I come from there is nothing going on after they tuck me into my ‘final resting place’.

Color me confused!

John

What that means is…I’m not leaving here! As a matter of fact, since I’m building an elevated RR, I might just incorporate my pine box into the benchwork.

So you will be “coming out of the closet” in late Fall then Chris?

Maybe…You want an invite? (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

the culprit, that turns many of us into less active modelers, is the internet.

the time, that i now spend on train forums used to be spent at the workbench - in bygone decades…

So you’re saying Bob is to blame…I knew that guy had ulterior motives… Just look at those beady little eyes, you know he is up to something.
