Not spring here yet but it’s definitely on the way. It’s to be above freezing for the foreseeable future.
Location, location, location…
80 degrees F today(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)
Egads…another Canadian…!!!..Welcome to the gang, Mike…
Fr.Fred
Thank you Fred. I was only able to finish half of my track work last summer. I’m pushing to getting started and finish it off as soon as I can. I’m hoping in a couple weeks I can get working.
Welcome aboard Mike! The snow has just disappeared on my layout and I can hardly wait to continue construction. We have about 50% of the track installed. As the weather allowed, I worked in the unheated wood shop out back this winter building a 2 stall engine house.
Here it has been the year without a winter - and now with a spring. We’re going into full blast summer tomorrow. Tracks get blazing hot. Too uncomfortable outside to run trains.
…saw my first Bikini yesterday…couldn’t really tell where the goose bumps started or ended…
phread
I ain’t seen no bikinis yet, Fred, but I did go out in shoes today, not boots.
I agree, Mike, nice to see another Canadian.
As for construction plans, I have 'em. Higher Authority may have other ideas
Welcome to the forum Mike. I’ve enjoyed your build progress over on the other site. Later RJD
At least the temps are starting to feel spring like (40F). Still cold for you southerners and westerners. Still over a foot of snow in the yard and melting ever so slowly. IAt least I can see my driveway again Thats a start.
I can see my whole (sad) railroad. I need to fix a few things after the ECLSTS.

46 years, plus some years in Montreal before that, back when snow tires were more like tractor tires and had studs.

Yeah, I hear you, but Montreal has nothing on Ottawa, other than the occasional power failure that could last for days. In which case I got to doodle back to Toronto since no power meant no work.
BTW I vividly remember the winter ('72) when one would very carefully inch into the Ottawa intersections, since the snow was piled too high to see left or right.
PS Now back to Spiral on Netflix, to get the benefit of Parisian French (with subtitles). (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Well it’s warming up but to much rain to get out to run trains. Maybe Sunday should be in the 70s. BTW Happy Birthday Steve.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif) Later RJD

According to the thermometer on the back door, it is now 274.15 K (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Chris and what is that on the Fair-en-height scale? I forget the conversion from kelvin to Fahrenheit, because my last physics class was sometime last century.
Today I was out gathering my collection of scrap aluminum. I need to cash it in before the ECLSTS, so I have a little extra fun money. I saw my fish up sunning themselves in the pond, so there is life out there. The railroad is slated to begin operations by May first, same schedule as every other year.

+1º, that’s balmy, isn’t it? (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)SWMBO is still in NS and from what I hear/read it’s Blowing Snow, -6º (windchill -14º), oh well, good weather to stay in and play cards. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)
Play cards? Don’t you have something to build/modify/upgrade/paint/detail?
Yea, mee too, and I am playing on the computer instead.

I wasn’t talking about myself, I was referring to SWMBO, I don’t even know how to play cards. Never had an interest to learn that particular hobby.
Finished watching the “Spiral” series, now on to “dicte”; part of my “cultural program” for today. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)Tomorrow it’s back to trains.
