next step is to do some sanding to the sides then stain them. Once the stain drys I will glue the sides togahter and start on the platforms then the roof. hope to have the plat forms done by next weekend but we will see how things go.

Geoff, at the rate you’re going you’re gonna need a bigger truck to haul all these buildings home

I like Geoff.

Ken I think it should be mandatory that everyone have a rooster vain on a building. Who makes them? If ozark I cant find it. I want one.

I bought them all up !

Build is looking good Geoff!

Thanks everyone.
this is the hardest build I have taken on yet. As for the Rooster, I order it already and as soon as I get the roof done I’m sure it will be going up. I just hope it stays there, been having 50 MPH winds here.

Looking good Geoff

Geoff, Country Store Miniatures has a nice weather vane I have used several times. It is a small weather vane 2" tall and runs about $3.60 each.
Ron

Thanks Ron but I already have one on the way.
Ozark had them and I had planed on putting one on before Ken and Shawn said anything.

Tonight I am working on siding trim and the roof trusses. No pictures yet nothing to take a picture of so far. That is unless you wont a photo of the glue drying.

Ok there is one thing I have been thinking about and maybe someoen can help with this.
Should I do the siding trim in the same Polar ice color as the body of the building or in the darker stain color I did the frame work?
I can make up my mind on this one.

Darker…or lighter…

The stain color is darker then the color on the main building. The stain is dark brown to almost black in color and the main building color is a gray blue color.

The building is looking good. What’s the next project?

That wind we had was a little different. We had some roof damage but not one building on the layout moved. I did make the legs on the ore chute extra long so I can bury them to help hold it down!

I hope to finish this one doug before I even think about a next project.

I won’t lack for projects this year. After the ore chute is done I need to build several platforms for boxcars. I’m planning an open house for the D&D on Sept. 24.

Doug I do not lack things that need to be build I just dont have the time to build them all.
Once I get back to St. Louis it is a all out bush to get ready for a open house weekend before the Large Scale thing in KC in June and then I host the Club meeting in July
So all the things that I am going to get built will have to be done here and before May.
