You guys ever watch American Le Mans series racing, I dig this stuff, these are real cars, not the custom made Nascar or Indy or F1 cars, they all started off as showroom cars. I love seeing real Porsches, Corvettes, Ferraris, etc swapping paint on road circuits. This is much closer to “stock car” racing today.
Watched one of these last weekend. Good stuff!
Out of the box. My daily driver here in sunny Southern California! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjL154yd9l8
Megadeth for music!!..Nice…
I liked the British Touring car series, now they were real cars…
Jay Leno understands cars…And driving…
“Going quickly in a slow car is actually more fun than going fast in a fast car because anyone can go fast in a fast car. But when you take a car that is essentially not that powerful and make it do things that it’s not supposed to be able to do, that’s where the real fun is.”
I believe in this case he was talking about an old Honda S800?
Found it…Fun test drive. If you can force yourself past the ad, skip to the 10min mark for the drive. Really a neat car! (Sorry, it was an SR600)

Might as well add this in …the motor in one of my old cars I had a few years back. Just a family car(baby seat in the back)with this under the hood. About 265hp but lots of fun and many crushing blows sent too kids that thought they had fast cars.

When you do something stupid like a buck 40 + out the turnpike, always remember to stop at a rest area for an hour or so before getting off the turnpike! BTW…it ain’t my car
The only decent Ford made.
John Bouck said:That one was made in 2007?? ;)
The only decent Ford made. :) :)
Now thats the one car on my list of “Wants” if I ever win the lotto. Nothin better then a Ford GT40 old or new.
Top Gear found the GT40s only real flaw. They door panels that cut into the roofline. Namely if a car is parked next to you, you literally cannot get in or out of the thing. Otherwise fantastic car. If you can afford it.
Vic,
I don’t think I’d be taking a GT to Wally Mart.
I even get nervous if I take my little Red Sled to a restaurant and can’t see it from my booth.
If I have to stop at a store I park way out.
My usual everyday driver, an old pickup, I don’t care.
Now we’ve drifted on this thread from Hot Rods and Muscle cars to exotic sports / street legal race cars.
Cool.
I like 'em all. Always have.
I’m not surprised at all that Godzilla won the race. What was amazing was how spread out the field got. Sad the two cars I might buy are the two that finished last boo hoo
Strong desire for that Cayman S…Love the looks, and the price.
I was extremely curious why they used a BMW 1 Series instead of a M6. The M6 has 507 hp.
