Large Scale Central

Hi, my name is Aaron, and I am a train addict

My only fear is that she might sell the stuff for what I told her I bought it for. What an interesting thread.

Steve, my mom has no idea what I spent for my stuff. After I pass away, I don’t care what it sells for. Actually, it will most likely be worth a lot less then I paid for it, because it will have been run so much.

LOL!

Welcome aboard, Aaron!

There is no help for our addition. I don’t care how many steps you take…

My solution was to knock up the wife for a third time oops… That cured my addiction for now. I did tell the wife that if she let me played with trains and buy more she wouldn’t be in this predicament. She still says its my fault grrrrrr

Aaron, Step one : You buy it

Step two: You make it a great bash…

Step three: You give it to me, then run away…

(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)(I know his work)…

Lol, in that case I’ll paint them yellow, just for you Andy (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Rooster- could be an interesting idea, except while im passed out ill be dreaming of more things I can kitbash haha

Ken- I think I may know some of these locals, and I think they are part of the reason I was led this far astray haha

Steve- you said the magic words, lets go shopping lol

Jim- good idea, do you know of any (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Dave- have the monster running through my mind, will definitely be resurrecting that project when I visit home, now that I have figured out a more secure way of rigging up that 5’ tall boom, now I have more welding to do lol

Shawn- Don’t have a wife, so that wouldn’t work, though when the time comes I may have to see if she will consider wearing a locomotive on her finger, cause there wont be any money for a ring (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

I don’t think you have an addiction Aaron. If you did, you’d be bidding on Doc Tom’s ebay Shay to the tune of five or six hundred bucks when you already have four Shays…**oh, wait…**that’s what I’m doing!

Mr. Passaro

Aaron has a problem and he clearly admitted it! You are not helping with these outbursts!

Perhaps you have an addiction yourself and clearly cannot grasp the truth?

Shawn,

Eventually you will have to decide which hobby is best for you! Please factor in the cost/growth evaluation vs time spent playing with each. This actually boggles my mind in a sense and perhaps this is why you have ventured into live steam. Both hobbies are wonderful to play with and take less than 5 minutes (in most cases) ? So like I have said/preached in the past… why not go track power and run multiple MU stuff roundy round for hours of enjoyment.

LIKE A.M. TRAK!

Aaron this is all your fault !

Edit

I am in denial and I will stay that wait, I have no intention of quitting. . . no one like quitters.

Another cost to figure in is that playing with one begets another as Shawn has already figured out which costs exponentially more though the enjoy of playing with the product of the begetting is irreplaceable and inevitably will require you to invest in the other hobby to buy said product of the begetting their own train. Its a viscous cycle.

Yeah I keep saying, ‘NO more, …work on and with what ya got’ !!

Aaron will have a problema. a big problema.

but entirely different from what you all think.

(for once ms autocorrect did it good)

his problema will be : no hobbyshops in latinamerica plus very efficient customs systems…

very true, but don’t think I didn’t try (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)I even had a shopbuilt goose idea packed up and ready to bring, just didn’t know how to get my tools here with it lol and though I have looked around the city, I have yet to find a place that sells hobby tools, or plastruct hahaha

Yea, If I had a dollar for every time I told myself that. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)

But I am doing good. I was doing good. I am not doing so good. My latest fix just arrived from Australia. Its a Clyde ML2 in HO scale. I blame Dave for that. He forced me to go to a meeting of an HO club, and then he forced me to join and participate. How did he force me? He asked nicely.
