Been there, done that! But if you refer to model shots, well, this is the best I can do for ya now Rooster.
Please ignore the neighbor’s house in the background, and the sprinkler in the foreground…
But thanks for your interest!

That’s funny David, I played with the same pic, I was favoring negative, but am running out of space… so I let it go.
Getting artsy

But, most of Clif’s ancient photos were sepia, that’s why I went with sepia instead of black and white.
Nice work, David! We were thinking alike, I tried to do that as well.
Excellent!

Wow Cliff, the structure is looking awesome, excited for you, I know you are wanting it done and set, so you can move on with other things.
Dennis
Thanks Dennis! Means a lot my friend, thanks.
Speaking of moving on… After the terrain is done, and the road and little ore bin foundation have their MS sculpting done, and all is painted, and the laundry list of further detailing is complete, then comes the whole electronics / animation thing. And after that, yeah, you said it, I’ll sure be happy to move on!! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
But at least the list is getting shorter, woo frickin hoo!!

After finishing the terrain yesterday, I sanded the remaining exposed arcylic.
I used magic scuplt for the stone foundation, and I was glad it has such a long working time. I love how it sticks really well to the acrylic, and seals up everything it’s applied to.
Next, I spread a thin layer on the roadway, pressed in some rocks, and scraped in some ruts. While it was still damp I bonded on the retaining walls, pressing it down into the clay. Final step was to press some clay into the edge of the terrain, in back of the retaining walls, and squished in some final rocks.
Today was mainly spent in airports; I’ll be in FL all week. Next weekend maybe I’ll get into the painting, in between family activities; we’ll see.

Looks wonderful!
Why did you have to sand the acrylic?
Bruce, that would so that the clay would have some “tooth” to grab ahold of and hang onta.
