Nice find, Scott.
Any idea how many of the “turbo fan” units Great Trains produced?
Ralph

Thanks Ralph, I have been told that maybe no more than 5 if that I only knew of one that his Grandson had and that came from a pretty good source. I will attach the pic Of the one that I knew existed now there are two=)

Those are so cool, I miss mine but am glad they are getting used instead of sitting on a shelf gathering dust

Ok,
One of five, or maybe even less. So, now I have to know, how the heck did you score it

I see a couple of things you could add. ;)

You could add the upstairs public restroom. Takes up half of the window next to Economy/Roomette #1 (the open space across from the stairs).

The original Superliner I sleepers didn’t have this upstairs public restroom. A later addition. Why on Superliner II’s you’ll notice a blanked out upper window on one side of the sleeping cars. They were designed with this restroom.

You could also add the restroom and sink partition in the Deluxe/Bedrooms.

And then there are the partition windows you could cut out.

Then there are drapes, seat cushions, etc…

See there are lots of things you can do :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay I cannot give away all my secrets, but there are other avenues on the web that are not ebay!!!

Okay I will share Stout Auctions and live auctioneers you bid on stout and then if it goes past your bid you have to bid on live auctioneers. Good and bads, if you bid through stout and win there is a 13% fee and then they will give you a 3% credit if you pay cash or check! live auctioneers is a 17% fee no cash or check discount.

Some really great stuff!!
dont tell anyone ELSE LOL LOL

Some great pics are here, and of stuff I’ve never even seen!!

I know I have said this many times before, but I am, to this day, truly astonished, that no manufacturer has yet reproduced any of these is LS, USA has proved with their auto-rack cars that yard-long cars will sell, so size isn’t the issue. I really don’t get where the market is in LS, its schizophrenic at best.

I sometimes think that what gets made, is actually what they decide over there, that interests them. Know what I mean??

I don’t think American manufacturing has much control.
