The AL bundles look great. A source of steel chips (not spirals) would be cool to let rust. You could always spray the AL with iron paint and oxidize it.

I remember cutting all those pieces to fit in that box. It was supposed to end up as something in my roadbed plans, but I don’t remember what. Glad they are finally going to be utilized.

One of the neat things about the cold galvanizing paint is that it slightly rusts.

Next time I’m at the hardware store I’m looking for cold galvanizing paint for my feed mill. I’ve painted a few of the silos with silver paint or aluminum color but it didn’t look right.

Yea, @Ray_Dunakin (I think) turned me on to it. Its splotchy and exactly the right color for, well, galvanized metal. The fact that it rusts is just a bonus.
