Well, now I feel a lot better scored way higher than Geoff, Hah LOL, but I had trouble with some of the other than Ford Chevy and Buicks got the study bakers too. Regal
A friend helped me get the last piece of chrome back on the Buick. The long ‘moustache bar’ over the grill. It was quite a job, still stiff and sore! Taking it in Monday to get stock height springs put back on it, guy that had it before me cut off a coil on each to lower it. Rides AWFUL! Hoping it rides like a Buick after getting them on.
New springs makes it ride like a Buick! Picked it up today. I thought it might look as though it sat too high, compared to before but I like it and the ride makes it all worthwhile.

Very nice car. What’s next? A hotrod of some kind? You can’t just have one classic!
Looks much better, Jerry. I knew sumpin was wrong, but couldn’t put my finger on it. 6 inches, huh? WOW!
I must be older than all you guys – and my wife too. We got 100%! We were confused by the Willys and the Henry J but I do remember the Henry J’s. Never saw the Willys Aero! I guess it helps that we grew up in L.A. – a great car town.
My wife owns a 1955 Buick Special 4 door. It’s a real beauty; it was built in Kansas City, and sold in Westchester, CA (the dealer was near UCLA). She’s the second owner, and she’s had it since 1966 or so.
One day it will run again, but 'til then, it sits in our garage, while our new cars sit outside, enviously.
Jerry Hansen said:Dumb Cooks. You should see the look on their faces when they try to figure it out. Then, you help them with stupid bakers. Grandad had two Buicks....red over black, black over red, 2-doors, 55 and 56 or 56 and 57, can't remember all these years later. Sold them and got a MK1 Jag.

Jerry - Your '56 Roadmaster looks awesome. You done good! And made a great selection of shops to get the painting & chrome work done. My dad bought a '56 Special when we lived in Dayton Ohio and he quickly learned that the big 322 V8 wasn’t the best choice for his work which required a lot of travel within the state. Really drank gas @ about 8 mpg. His mileage reimbursement by the railroad he worked for wasn’t really enough to offset the cost plus wear and tear. In '60 he traded it on a Ford Falcon with a 90HP in-line six that got about 20 mpg. But he did like the power and the ride of the '56 Special. He always referred to the '50s, 60s, and 70s American cars as “Detroit Iron”. About the 2nd year he owned it the Special had a power steering problem - if you turned the steering wheel all the way either side, it would stay all the way over - the car would run in circles forever - if you didn’t turn it back the other way. The guy from the dealer didn’t believe it until my dad took him for a spin one evening then turned the wheel all the way over on an empty parking lot of a big factory. Then my dad accelerated and the car was going in circles about 30 mph with the tires squealing and the dealer rep squealing to slow down. Upon getting back to the dealer shop they immediately offered to repair it at no charge. My dad has had many a laugh at recalling that incident.
Oh - I got 88% on the test. Completely blew the early '50s Mopar page.
Hi Jerry,
