Stock pretty much. Guy I got it from had put on new brakes/dual glasspacks and lowered it some. Otherwize pretty stock. Interior about pure stock look also. Just a driver to cruise around in and hit a few street car shows in the summer, just for grins. Cream roof, then coral, then back to cream under the side trim. May re-chrome the bumpers while they are off, the front one was a pain! Found a drawing online I cleaned up and added(roughly) the colors.

I Like that satin black look.
But I’ll prolly keep it red. I am going to have the grill painted, tho.

Got the Buick home on a trailer. Made a wood shield in the front to keep the road slush off it and it worked fine. Rear shot shows the side that he had to do a lot of work on. Sanded out inches of bondo someone had filled some dents with. Pulled out the dents, then smoothed it. It is base coat/clear coat. Coral and Cream, does NOT look pink in the sunlight, may on your monitor though. :slight_smile:

Very cool Jerry!
Actually I like the color’s even if it was pink. I feel once the lights and chrome is on it will be quite tastefully done considering the era it was built!
But what do I know about cars anyway?

Is the chrome at the plating shop?
Or are you going to try and salvage the original plating.

Thanks guys. Most of the trim is stainless John. Previous guy had ‘rat rodded’ it and sanded the trim some to dull it down. So I’ve been sanding, starting with 100 grit, ending up with 2000, then buffing/polishing. Glad he only did that to the side trim. REst I can just buff, some is chrome. Do plan to get the bumpers re-chromed, front one is a PAIN to get off and on. Back is pretty easy. My garage is insulated and has a heater, so can work on it all the time.
