Nice and clear up here in the panhandle of Idaho. Low of 25 tonight with a high of 36 tomorrow and a chance of rain. I can actually see my railroad now.

Chuck

Winter storm watch went up for my area. So far calling for a foot but could be more depending on storm track. Looks like I wont be seeing the grass for a few more weeks. Soooo glad im off friday.

You guys can have my part of that, you need not share!!

Half of that would shut Indiana down.

Stay safe.

Frank

It shuts down here with 4 inches.

Looks like we’ll have warm air in place Friday. Calling for AM rain, then sunny and 60 degrees

It takes more then 20 inches to shut my area down and even then cars etc… are still on the roads. Good thing our plow trucks do a great job in keeping the roads clear. No such thing as get your bread an eggs fofore the storm hits because by the next day everyone is back on the roads. We never worry about these big storms.

Im glad im off tomorrow. I will be hanging out at my shelter with a nice warm campfire going.

Here in the midwest they are only saying about 2-3 inches.

Where thee store is we are supposed to get 4-8 inches today but right now just rain and sleet

I was in Texas once with my brother and they a “snow storm” of about 6 inches. The whole area shut down with driving bans on the roads. So of course we went out cruising around and of course got stopped by a state trooper who informed us there was a driving ban. He then asked to see our license when my brother handed over his Ohio license the trooper laughed handed it back and told us to have a good day…

Snow doesn’t slow down the folks of NE Ohio much. Plus, we get to plow our railroads!

Terry

This storm is looking like its going to be a monster Totals keep going up. Ill take a 2-3ft snowstorm over superstrom Sandy anyday. I think what we have been through in the last few years, this should be a walk in the park.

Might just not go to work tomorrow. Supposed to start getting bad around 10 and get worse from there. Last I hear was 10-12" here, but that’s about 10" too much for me :]

Here’s 2 feet of snow…

What’s the big deal?..

2 inches ?

In England they declare a National Emergency, close the airports, stop the trains, and go into a head spinning panic after only two inches of snow…

…well they did the last time they got that much

So Jon and others, is it still snowing? How much so far?

DON’T PANIC!

Vic - You are sending mixed messages :]

@Ric - Not yet. After midnight I hear but not heavy until after noon Friday.

Good, hope it is no more than you want.

Finally started here about 9:00. Got sent home from work at 9:30. Roads were clear all the way home. Gas fireplace is lit; coffee is made so I guess I’ll spend my work day in the C.V.S.Ry. shops staring at my Shay and hoping Fedex somehow delivers my batteries today.

I can tell you guys now we got any where from 4-9 inches in our region last night this storm is deceptive and heavy so all of you be careful I broke a 1:1 plow finishing my drives in it
