this is an excellent time to turn this thread around…simply by following the title…
Go find an Aristo-Craft product in your Stack-o-stuff and BASH it into something…
Rail-joiner into a leg-lamp
Bobber Caboose into a Hot-dog stand
0-4-0 into a molten pile of burnt ash
I hereby challenge the lot of you…
That sounds a good idea Cale, more in keeping with this Forum.
I have around fifty items of Aristo rolling stock. I had contemplated selling some of it but, as I posted recently, felt that the resale value would possibly be less than replacement value - especially trucks etc.
I have long considered having a Milwaukee Road boxcar; the type produced by the MILW with horizontal ribbed panels.
I have a 40ft. L&N boxcar and a Lehigh Valley boxcar, both of which could be candidates for a kitbash.
I would not want to bash my other road named boxcars and reefers.
So far only Bachmann 1:22.5 stock has been ‘bashed’, being reluctant to touch my Aristo stock other than mounting 20ft.cars on flats and making a static oil tank.
I will ‘sleep on it’ as they say. I know there was an article in GR about making a MILW box car. I might still have the issue.

When this topic header first appeared I secretly hoped it was going to say that they shipped a ton of spare parts and bash fodder incomplete loco’s and rolling stock that were being blown out at fire sale prices…then I opened it…Oh Well.
Nah Vic, Just someone trying to stir the natives into saying something indiscreet.
To hell with bashing any Aristo cars…run them and enjoy…there are some replacement parts available from aftermarket people…parts like stirrup steps…
The old Aristo cars are more durable than a lot of other makes, and lend themselves to real operations.
Run them and have fun.

Tony I knew with a title like that this thread would be watched and not sent to purgatory
you are right it was deliberate, but not to start an arguement

I wonder if that is what they bought up from Aristo desmise or “new” old stuff from Scott?

I have enough to do managing the site, between enabling new accounts, the constant spam account attacks, plus keeping the software upgraded and working correctly. I also have a family, my own RR, and a full time job. I dont need someone deliberately trying to provoke some kind of response, especially “I knew with a title like that this thread would be watched”.
Hey Bob,
Recently my wife and I were rear ended at an intersection. The offending party admitted guilt to the officer on the scene. In passing conversation as he provided us our copy of the report, he was going to give her an ‘Award’ for the event. Maybe someone here needs a ‘Vacation’ to relax and think things over.
My tuppence.

, your missing the point, the whole point was to make sure this thread DIDN"T go by the wayside because of bashers
…I suggest you mean “You are, or You’re”
…but then, who has done any bashing…all is well and things have been discussed and thoughts have been shared…leave it be…
There has been no bashing just the projection of such as usual.
Andrew
Mark, I find your sense if humor and your logic train both terribly scarey. Let me present the following:
-
Your thread title: “GeneratioNext - Let the Bashing begin”. Aside from the obvious baiting, just the words alone indicate a 'lets beat up on a certain manufacturer".
-
By your own admission you are an instigator who likes to ‘stir the pot’.
-
My self and others have suggested and directly asked for this line to be let die, something you and a few others seen not to be able to do.
Mark, I think I got your point quite clearly. Personally I think all that needs to be said on this subject has already been said, some multiple times. I had hoped that my last post would entice and end, obviously you will have to have the last word, so have at it.
Bob C.
Gentlemen, please adjust your girdles.

I do have an Aristo tank car I am bashing, but I made an error and its been shelved for the time being.
Whaddaya mean no ones doing any Bashing? I’ve done several bashes. I even have one on the bench now …but…its a Lil Hauler …oh…Nevermind.
