What Jerry is saying is that if you post at GSC and they(GSC) do something you don’t like then dont post there any more.

My God what a bunch of wasted energy. It sounds like a bunch of old fish wo…/men (political correctness here??) moaning and groaning over the fence. Or 5 year olds, “My site is better than yours!!”.
I go to all these sites to see and read about the hobby not get into p…ing matches over who can or can’t tell a joke.
Give the woman running the show a break, she’s obviously not making money off it and is providing a service to the hobby. Its her site, she can run it anyway she chooses. If you don’t like the way she monitors things don’t post, you’re not a paying customer so you have no right to demand anything.

Also apologies to Jerry for the incorrrect spelling of your name. I have been here quite a while (Aug 2003) and I like to feel I can get on with pretty much every one. I appreciate the clarification, I feel the original point was lost in translation maybe. I do also have friends on other fora, including GSC, which I do support also.
It is because of that I take a pragmatic view when reading posts that are, how shall we say, less complimentary about GSC? That is upto the indivduals and although I consider some of the views ill founded, based on conjecture I will also concede that there may be a genuine perception that one has been wronged. So I agree to differ, but see no point in saying so as views have become so polarised
In this most recent exchange some of you know it would clearly have been a conflict of interest for me to get embroiled in the debate. I would hope however that this recent spat could be consigned to the history pile and we move on. If you feel that I am tarred by association then I am sorry, but I believe that to be unreasonable, much as I would n’t dream of slagging off LSC or its entire membership enmasse, just because a few individuals have been a little wide of the mark in their assumptions.
This assertion is not directed at any particular individual here, past or present, it is merely a personal observation on my approach to the various fora I frequent, which as last count was three.
So in a nutshell I shall continue my support for GSC and LSC in the wider context.

i have not been following the thread as my last comment did say i want to move forward and have said my bit and it is Christmas and i have a family to be with - but it has been brought to my attention that my gender was brought into question. Well that made me laugh, anyone who pretends to be of the opposite sex has an issue in my opinion, and those that think that i may be pretending to be female - what thoughts must go on in your mind??

I am continually amused at the constant reference to the term ‘mistress’. For the sake of tender young minds who may be just 13 years of age, I have deleted any reference to item #7 which is the obvious usage of the term (other than the reference to a schoolmistress). Some of the definitions are actually quite apt and outside the normal everyday usage of the term. One overlying tendency though, is the desire to be in control.

Well, it seems my olive branch has been trampled underfoot.
It’s laughable that some bang on about adult membership and GSC being primarily aimed at children, when they persist in childish niggling after the manner of a playbround bully, whilst GSC members maintain control of their moral compass and not rise to the bait. I dont see any lenghty tomes on GSC critising the lenghty vitiolic diatribe leveled against them on LSC.
The Bitter and Twisted Corps have dome the same thing to MLS over the years and its quite frankly, shameful. Sure you may disagree, but to bang on relentlessly in the attempt to affirm that one’s position is the only true viewpoint is pathetic.
Over the years I have also observed the the lions’ share of the posts are to be found in the general section and also I have noted the deteriation into slanging matches has become more frequent. Also the accumilation of detritus that has fallen foul of other fora because of its inflexable and perochail viewpoint, churning out the same acerbic garbage the has “endeared” them to their former hosts.
So Jerry and Ralph you were right, I have to go, if you want to talk to me, I’ll be in another place.

PS - mistress came about as i didnt want to be a webmaster so was going to be a web mistress and then it got abbreviated to mistress - all very innocent if you ask me

I have been monitoring this thread from the beginning, and haven’t in any way tread on your olive branch, even in bare feet !
You of course will be missed, but, time moves on and I guess so must you.
I wish you good health and friendship, wherever you place your name tag.
You will probably find it hard to find a permenant “Home”, that will satisfy all your likes and dislikes, and no-mater where you go, a thick skin will always be handy, for humour of all types, and disagreement/agreement at all levels. If everyone here, or anywhere else was PERFECT; the World would be a very boring place.
