Quote … you seem to be sadly misinformed. Why not flip over to Large Scale Central and enter your snide remarks? They would not only be expected but they would be welcomed…
HEY! I appreciate that remark!
What happened…did some one with original thoughts actually say something over there…!!!

Ah… bah, someone who thinks everyone can/should get along with everybody.
I like the Despair.Com poster Forwarded that on to one of our managers who’s always complaining about meetings.
So do I, looks like the gang on the Red Green show all dressed up in the Lodge doing the pledge thing. OTOH it could also be a meeting of faith-healers.
I noticed Herr Fuhrer, on ‘the other site’, did not moderate the post with his customary stick of dynamite. Must be one of his steam buddies.

Yup, I wrote it.
I belong to a number of forums dedicated to “discussions” of G-scale railroading. By in large, I have found the Aristo-Craft site has so many rules nobody can write anything without fear of being banned. MLS is a good, clubby site, usually dedicated to growing the hobby and is, for the most part, intolerant of shouting matches. Garden Railways…well, a nice experiment but hardly worth mentioning. Then there is my beloved LSC where shouting matches and diatribes, coupled with irreverence, intolerance, acerbic quotes, and the like are not only proudly written but often receive equal responses. To the webmaster’s eternal credit, there is a forum where people need not be overly cautious because it is understood you are taking your life in your own hands whenever you make a contribution–however earth shattering. Indeed, you are forewarned. That leaves LySOL but…
So, when I really want to be entertained and sometimes even informed, I regularly pass by to see what’s happenin’.
With thanks to Bob McCown and no apologies to all,
Bob
I dont get it, GR used to be very active when I first started back in 01, but now its almost dead save for a few of us who still post there, the new harder to navigate/read/use/search forum format sure doesnt help…

Steve F and I seldom agree on politics, but I would be proud to have him as a neighbor. Participants on this forum have spirit. I hope that never changes. Ralph

Dear Robert,
This site has one huge advantage over any of those you mentioned: everyone knows where they’re at - in every respect! - and those who can’t take it … hmmmm not many of those around here, are there?
BTW I thought your recommendation was in order, having some more folks who practice plain speaking and have some wit is a PLUS!
Thank you, Bob, for your participation and clarification.
Your reply on the other site seemed to read like a slam against LSC.
But, hey, it’s publicity in one form or another, right?
