Fred’s phone was busy at 8:30 this morning when I called. I’m not sure what that means. I have just e-mailed Paul Norton, who lives in Ottawa and is a member of OVGRS, and asked him to make inquiries and get back to me. I have also told Paul about this thread, so he may post here himself. I will certainly post any news I receive.
Thanks for the update John.
If the phone’s busy, that’s good news.
Thanks John, much appreciated.
I had heard about this and came to LSC for more info. Thank you for keeping us informed and any updates are deeply appreciated.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
5:45 Friday evening:
I just spoke to Fred in the hospital. He sounds good.
Everything went smoothly; he will be kept in recovery until Tuesday.
His sister-in-law is taking charge of ferrying him to and fro.
He has a cousin who’s an emergency dep’t nurse at the same hospital.
She has dropped round to see him.
Various Ottawa buddies have been in touch with him by 'phone.
That’s GREAT!
Thanks for the up-date John. Keep us posted.
Glad to hear everything went well and he’s on the road to recovery.
As ornery as that old phart is, I’m surprised they haven’t kicked him outa there by now…
Glad to hear he is doing well.
Good news!
Thank you John. If you speak to him again, please send our regards.
I was just with Fr.Fred @ the hospital & he is looking forward to getting the “h*** out of here”. Other than the expected discomfort he is doing quite well & looking forward to getting back on his pedestal on the LSC forum/chat in order to preach at all of us! He may be getting out tomorrow; if not it will be Tuesday.
Thanks Bill.
Glad to know he is returning to his usual self!
Good to hear and thanks for the updates all.
Holy cow! Not around for a few days and I hear this! Glad Fred’s doing well and thanks to those of you who took the effort to inform us of his condition.
Great to hear. Looking forward to his return.
Yes… Always good to hear good news…
