Just a perfect day for operations. Temps in the 60s, and the J&B RR is ready to start the day.
Ken showed up about 930 and we got straight to running the two trains that the J&B operates daily except for Sunday.
Train #1 is being made up in Green Springs Yard.
The run looks pretty straight forward.
Here we are switching Occoquan.
It got a bit tighter in Jackson, and we had to move cars only 2 at a time out of Buchanan Tool & Die.
There just wasn’t enough room at Matheson Textiles for the 5th car so we left it blocking a track. We had to deal with that later when Train #2 picked up a couple of cars here.
Of course by the time we got around running Train#2, I forgot to take any pictures of the run.
But, there was work to do.
Anyway, it was a great day for operating a couple of trains. We did have to dodge a number of acorns falling, but nobody was hit.
Thanks to Ken for coming down!
