Feb 14-15, Gateway Garden Railroad Club Winter Meet, Carlyle IL

It’s coming up!

I even have it up on the website. Speeking of that I guess I need to do some more updates to the site. I’ll have to call Bob seeing I left the CD with the club pictures on it at home. Hope you all have nice weather for it. Its been a little hot here. 85 to day and I’m thinking I might have to trun the AC on.

Thanks Geoff, that really helped.

The Winter Meet is over for another year. Man, this playing trains is tough. We are exhausted. I think there were some pictures taken, but its going to be tomorrow before any attempts to load or publish.

I know from my Family a great time was had by all. If I add all the time behind the throttle up Addie had me of it than me. Thanks to all who came and for those who helped.

Todd

It takes you that long to recover from getting up in the morning. :D

I resemble that remark...

I had a GREAT weekend. Tom Ruby got my ebay Climax working, and programed the controller for me, I learned some about battery and wiring, and found a side door caboose I had wanted for a long time. We just can’t a show like that !

Here we go - This is Addie Siddle running her Dad’s train.

After 7 years of putting on this event our club probably got the greatest compliment we could ever have. We had someone from out of town compare our event to the live steamers Diamondhead. Now I’ve been to Diamondhead and we’ve got a long way to go to achieve that status, but the intended compliment was certainly well received.

Next year’s event is February 12 - 14, 2010, mark your calendars and make your plans now.

Jan takes nice pictures…!!!

Tks for the photos… Very nice and looks like a lot of fun been had… Noel

I seem to have been too busy playing trains to take pictures. (About 10 MB) http://www.outsidetrains.com/mls/movie.wmv

This little boy looks so much like my Ethan at that age.

Preparing for a seminar: “How to take a loco apart 17 times and still not have it work.” They figured we all do that so often, we might as well know how to do it well.

Good video, Tom. Thanks for including.

From what I’ve seen over the years in the photos, the compliment is well deserved.
