Joke aside, what type of paint did you use? Some stick to Lehmann plastic better than others.

The wind died down, the sun was out and the temps were pleasant.

Great pictures, Ken! I’m afraid you may get our today’s weather, tomorrow. So, I hope you enjoyed today. Next time you have a shot, maybe you could give us a switching scenario as Bruce did. Your buildings look great with your equipment. is most of your rolling stock, especially the box cars, Bachmann’s? That train in the first picture is great. I run too many other cars besides box cars.

Extensive work is continuing on the Dirty and Dusty right-of-way but limited operations have begun. Here the railbus passes Hilltop.
And we have a photo if the file will upload!

The picture is sized at four inches in width but this is what came in. What did I do wrong?

I’d have to say that 90% is B’mann. There’s a smattering of Aristo classics and 2 LGB cars. a Colorado Midland Reefer and a skeleton log car. That string of boxcars just happened to be the easiest ones to get out the window. I haven’t looked at the forecast, so I guess I’ll wait and see what happens. Hopefully it’ll be nice for the drive out to Orbisonia tomorrow. Whatever switching scenario I can come up with will be strictly informal as Bob is still getting the bugs outa my TrainOps DB.

Geoff George asked for “a few pictures from my fall festival” The vehicles around the layout show how close Geoff lives to the park where the Fall Festival was held. The GGRRC members and others had as much fun as the viewers did.

Ric, where is your apron?

Jerry,
This was pretty fast paced and we had to get organized before we could settle in to the normal routine. It did get put on, but it was later in the session than when these pictures were taken.

Geoff, those pics Ric took of your layout in it’s present finished form are really impressive. You’ve really come a long way in a short time. But’ I still would like to know where the christmas display this started out complimenting is going to go to compliment the trains? Ain’t it great when the bug bites then takes over?

Dave

The phase three consist is rare but if I may critique’ a bit Amtrak usually Mu’s elephant style not back to back…either way thanks for the pics so far! I hope to add in the near future!

That’s why the law is there. About to make an arrest on the behalf of Amtrak  Ralph

I believe the young man and possible father are contemplating this consist as well?

Ric thanks for getting the pictures and posting them. Also thanks for coming over and running trains. Everyone is still talking about the trains, seems they were a very big hit.

David M, the christmas lights go all around the train. as you can see from the pictures I have bushes lining the railroad layout. I also will do 4 of my neighbors houses with lights. IT seems the trains get lost in all the lights. From what Ric tells me a number of my neighbors did not even know I had trains.

This is my 3rd summer of getting work done on the railroad. I don’t get to do any work on it in the winter so its full steam ahead in the summer. I hope to get started on more detail work next summer and maybe the town.

Thanks again to everyone that helped out running trains and for all the kind remarks from the rest of you. Maybe some day I can run Ops here and you all can come have fun. Might have to add a siding or two tho.
