Nice work pap!

I like the reverse board and batten door we discussed one evening over a beer.

Ya… something different. Most of the old S.P. frt. sheds were like that around here. Course there’s was painted same color as the building was.

Well got the last group building built.

I wanted to use Tri-ax pin head LEDs on the console in the tower, but came across one of my yard Bi-color LED light not working.
The darn photo cell was so bad that it wouldn’t charge the batt. any longer.
So got a crazy idea… Why not put it in the yard tower for difference color lights reflect off the console.
Here is how it was cut and mounted on the underside of the removal roof.

We still have to get windows divers in ,felt on the roofs, the Text and NBR’s. on the building yet, then the 11 foot back drop painted so we can mount the 3-D building to it…

Got the back drop up and still more details yet to do. Like be drop off when walking out the doors from the building… lol. It’s slowly getting there. Sure looks better than I Fig. at night.

I had to cut out some off the Turntable boards that was starting to Dry Rot, and replace and move some tracks around. Then Paint another coat on turntable pit after unplugging some drains.
Made a longer Caboose track to hold five of them now.

Noel,

Nice work. It’s looking good, real good.

Joe

that looks great…

the buildings look very good!
will you paint something on the background?

Ya … something… Not sure… been watching what you are doing on yours. Santa fe R.R. is kind of in the desert. or plains area R.R. I kind of like Mt. for backdrop way out in the distance.
The backdrop is about 6 to 7 ft. from the walk way in that area…
So what ever I put on the backdrop has to be something simple from a simple mind here.

what else, if not simple?
we are not making paintings, that are meant to be observed.
what we do (or should do) is smear some paint on an empty space, that the eye of the observer of the layout just registers the idea, not the details of additional things behind the modells.

and if you are not in a hurry - the background, that will continue to the right of the town i’m painting now, will be partly town and partly mesa-mountains.

Ok Korm… When have some time and like me get honey dues done for a few min. Draw out a sketch or something you think that would look simple on my backdrop with the building I have now.

something… anything… everything, but don’t leave 'em naked!

Tk’s for the sketches… .

Neat stuff there guy…
Ok …see what I can do with it, even if I have to push the kitty out of the way that keep taking my paint brushes away or hide them.

Ok Korm… Took your advice and A buddy came over to help me get the building off the wall so I could come up with something…
Most of my layout is Pine trees and this should mix in ok…
Take a look Korm…

Had to resize them and upload on My MLS web to get a photo on here.

Kind of hard to see, but there is a Pencil outline drawing where the building go.
Still have to coat the back drop with Dull-coat and then mount the building on the back drop.
Back drop goes up in two pc. on the storage shed.
It will look better when they are up right with the building on…

Oh… I see Korm in one of his photos he is showing trees in from of building… Ok … When get these mounted will put a couple of Pine tree in front of a building.

Photos didn’t do well laying down on saw horses. Also, I’m not a painter so used shaker cans with a brush like a dab-a-do you here and there… lol.

Nice job Noel, pretty creative! You too Korm!

NICE job! It’s going to look GREAT. (http://www.floridashootersnetwork.com/images/smilies/bounce-74.gif)
