They also have a FAX number 660-535-6579
Require an answer? Lack of patience? Spend some money and call!
Lets keep a civil tongue, eh? That was uncalled for snarkiness.

Bruce , thanks , that is the address I am using .
Bob , My first try at the address was a month ago . I suppose some would say that I am impatient .
Steve , nice to know there are some gentlemen around , thanks .
I was hoping that Hartford would see this and get in touch , I understand from their website that there were some problems a while back . They need to know , I think .
Mike
Gentlemen,
Perhaps my reply was too snarky!
OTOH as a manufacturer I find it hard to fathom that one would send four email messages. More so since Hartford Products states the following on their website
Hartford said:
Contact Us:To speak with us directly, phone 660-535-6362. We will make every effort to have someone available for the phone during normal business hours.
…
Our business hours are;M-F 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time
Sat 8:00 AM to Noon
If one really needs an answer quickly, phoning has never been cheaper! That was my point. It is possible that Hartford did receive those messages, it is also possible that they didn’t!
PS There are companies operating on the Internet which have no contact info other than “email”. That I would find a bit peculiar!
It’s OK , hans , I accept your apology
Mike
You mean like actually USE a telephone?
Oh! That is SO 20th century 8)

OTOH (in my book), if it shows results, provides answers and makes the other party understand what you would like to know, then I’m all for it.
Talking to people, face to face or on the phone, seems to be “not a bad solution”. And if one has complaints one can register them on the spot and can listen to the reasons or excuses right there and then.
Well, it is not only Mr Morgan who have a problem with Messrs Hartford, it seem.
I, too, have sent them four e-mails asking to buy some part from them, as my usual supplier cannot get parts from them - they have either ignored his request for stock or lost the order, and I am talking about a very well-known LS provider here, not a shade-tree dealer.
Either they can respond or they don’t, and in my case, they don’t.
Maybe they have a grinch against furriners like we’s, eh?

Whatever gives at Hartford Products, I would try the phone!
Yes…it is a spam problem…I just talked with a kind person there.
She may come on here and explain…but in the mean time, just pick up the “Telephone” and call.
The number Hans gave is current.
You guys might even find a bit of enjoyment, talking with the young lady that answered my call.......she sounds like a fine young lady.
Hello All,
I have just been made aware of the problem with our e-mail address through our server. A couple of months ago they “upgraded” their software to help cut down on all the spam that gets through. Unfortunatley it seems to be getting rid of messages also. Today (Feb. 1) I received a message dated Dec. 14, 2006.
Please believe that I am not ignoring customers - that is the last thing I would do.
If you get no reply from the [email protected] please feel free to use our personal e-mail which is [email protected].
Thank you all for your understanding and please accept may apology for any problems this has caused.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Jeanie
Now , hans , if I had used the phone , they would never have known their email was u/s , now would they ?
I still accept your apology though .
I know why you prefer the phone—it has a built in excuse for not showing progress on models .
And many thanks to the genuinely helpful souls on the site here .

I accept your gracious thanks, but I really didn’t do anything…at leat that I will admit to anyway.
But we at the Lost Railroad are glad you have an e-mail to use…a telephone call from you to here is a costly item and it could be tied to “Global Warming”…not sure how, but you can not under estimate the power of dumb in the causes of “Global Warming”…I still believe it to be the cows fratulating causing it…So I will continue to eat steaks to save the planet…It is the least I can do for the environment.
The Lone Railroader
To set the record straight; it’s me fratulating after a good pot of baked beans, with a quart of bheer chaser, that’s causing the problems. I have that for dinner at least once a week…
…then remember while you guys spent all your time arguing; I called and found out what was going on.
I also had the opportunity to have a fine young lady, spend a short time speaking with me.
Now; I ask you…who in his right mind these days, with the wonderful, inexpensive long distance rates available; would wait over four weeks, to get a reply to several email messages; then ask here whether there was a problem ?
And to boot; there were more than one of you, that couldn't just simply pick up the good old telephone, and find out. EGADS; no wonder there are communication problems between people in this crazy old world.
Thank you; you old farts; for letting me have the pleasure of meeting the young lady.......it only cost me about 25 Canadian cents, for the 15 minute call
I send this note with a big smile on my face.....please smile back.!!

As a matter of fact, I think that I will do just that!

You’re welcome!
Actually I can be very efficient on the phone, but I freely admit that I like chatting with friends on the phone or face to face. Beats email any old day!
On the “they still wouldn’t know if I’d phoned” hmmmmmm I have a friend who had exactly that problem, the customer called him and asked about the lacking replies to email. Then he gave my friend his email address (over the phone), my friend got in touch with the hosting company and the problem was sorted out. Yes he gets a bit more SPAM now.
BTW in future I’ll have a bit of extra time, I’ll save myself the effort of giving you common sense tips.
